If I find myself in need of some counterfeit heads or secluded addresses and at Attending the Needs... 19, what can I do? Other than losing at the Tournament of Lilies, is there any way to un-grow a singular plant so I can harvest a bit more of it?

Once you are at 19 the only thing you can do to reduce its level is to lose the Tournament of Lilies.

Sorry RL means I am not a very active player at the moment. No social actions unless you are prepared to wait and definitely no sparring or other mult-action things.
No Calling Cards or boxed cats please. Will take dupes on the affluent photographers. Other social invitations welcome. Parabolan Kittens usually available, send me an in-game social action saying you want one and I will get one to you as soon as possible.

At least for the Secluded Addresses, you can get those at the entrance to the Labyrinth, at Mr Page's souvenir booth. (10% luck challenge)

How are the challenges even won? Higher number wins or what? Is 20 the cap?

19 is the cap. Higher number is more likely to win, but it's not guaranteed. The math is like K&C duels and games of chess/sparring/etc.

You can also get secluded addresses while zailing, if you have a yacht. And you can grind them very easily at one point during the Big Rat story, if you haven't played that yet.
What do you need secluded addresses or heads for?

Well heads are nice for quick trips to the colonies. I've considered getting my plant down to farm them too.

Ah, how I wish I had some counterfeit heads. I haven't actually drawn a plant card for what seems like months, though. Right after I was thinking "man, I hate this thing and I wish I stopped getting cards," they did stop showing up and I realized I never got to the point of heads.
And unfortunately I ended up with a nephrite lens that I haven't been able to get rid of (you'd think after a year and a half I'd have 5 Is Someone There? but I guess not), so I can't get a head from the exotica cards, if those even still exist. And K&C is on indefinite hiatus.
My starting goals in this game were to get 200 in all stats, an overgoat, and a counterfeit head. I guess I'll have to keep hanging around.
