Accepting A Dank Gift
Thoughts?
| Accepting a Damp Gift should provide more Amber than calling in favours: | 2 |
| Just ignore the option, who cares?: | 4 |
| But you can get 3 Warm Amber as a rare success!: | 4 |
| Do Care / Speak Up, Tystefy: | 0 |
| All the favours give exactly 4.20 echos? OH MY GOD!: | 2 |

If one "Accepts A Damp Gift" from the Rubbery connections card "Slime and Amber", they can exchange all their favours for the following formula:
(favours x 275) + 100 amber.
BUT... if you just call in favours normally within the Forgotten Quarter, you get 420 amber.
Am I being a moron again or is the math here wrong? Isn't calling in favours normally better than the other?

Cashing in all your Favours in one Action can be a better deal. It depends on how many Echoes per Action you could get by using your Actions on something else that is always available under the same circumstances. Both options pay less than playing one of the conflict cards though. ________________________________ edited by Gillsing on 7/14/2017

Collecting amber in the Forgotten Quarter earns £2.10pa and £4.20 per favor. Spending 7 favors on accepting a damp gift earns £2.53pa and £2.89 per favor. The option on the card is also usable prior to unlocking the route to the Forgotten Quarter, and at that early stage in the game a few hundred amber is rather a lot.

The big thing to take from this is that it only costs *one action*. The same principle applies to the Implausible Penance card, where the higher favor cost options are (usually) better deals despite giving less money per favor.
For rubbery in particular, I find it better to cash in their favors with the revolutionaries (and occasionally constables, provided I need the suspicion decrease).
