Is fate necessary to acquire a newspaper?

I was just wondering if one needed fate to acquire a newspaper, as I checked on the wiki that "An Editor of Newspapers" had a fate locked option in order to progress.

I can't remember exactly, but I don't think it's required. Been a while since I founded my paper, though, so I could be wrong.

Fate not required. There is one point where having done one piece of Fate-locked content will unlock an easier option.

There's several steps necessary for getting a newspaper and each step has two possible options. Typically, there's one easier option if you've done some specific content (in this case fate-locked) and a harder option that requires obtaining some expensive item(s).
