One of my other characters is a fixer, offered their help, went through the options to help but now the person they are helping is somewhere else.
If they perhaps not out of the storylet does anyone know what will happen

Sorry RL means I am not a very active player at the moment. No social actions unless you are prepared to wait and definitely no sparring or other mult-action things.

It could be that they had their menaces reduced before you finifshed the storylet, in which case you cannot help them until their menaes rise again. You can use the "a reputation cleared" thing for someone else though, when someone else accepts your help.

I think the only time the menace level is checked is when sending the help offer in the first place. I haven't seen this as a requirement when actually doing the work and eventually clearing the person's menace.

It said they were somewhere else, not that they needed qualities - so I don't think it is because they don't have enough scandal to be eligible but they have gone to an area outside London.
Edit - at least leaving the storylet doesn't use the progress which is what I was concerned about.
