So I think I've missed something... I've never seen anything about becoming a glassman in fallen london, and after looking it up, I can't find any of the options in the flit which open that story. I'm a POSI which shadowy 148 and have completed the affair of the box. Could anyone tell me what I've missedone, and how to get started on this story? I only found out it existed because I saw that I'm not embroiled in the wars of illusion in Mahogany Hall.

The career path to Glassman is Campaigner -> Mystic -> Glassman.

You become a Glassman by first choosing the Mystic profession, and upgrading it via the Unsigned Message card.
You become a Mystic by similarly upgrading from Campaigner (not to be confused by the currently available Campaigner election career).

Having said that, how do I get into the Wars of Illusion? I've been playing FL for a good 18+ months and have never seen that storyline!!

You need to get your Name Whispered in Darkness quality to 6. Then a storylet called The Heights of Chicanery will become available in the flit. You need to play around with the options found there for a bit. There is an element of randomness there, you won't get anything straight away. Can be quite frustrating, I think my own Embroiled in the Wars of Illusion quality is currently only 1, because the RNG hates me, and there are much more fun things to do in London than arse around on the rooftops waiting for it to happen.

In the Flit - The Heights of Chicanery and getting rare successes when investigating or seeking.
I don't remember exactly which options will advance the story or how many rare successes you need before you can get involved with the Bats and Cats.

Sorry RL means I am not a very active player at the moment. No social actions unless you are prepared to wait and definitely no sparring or other mult-action things.
