Yes, getting your soul back via bundle of oddities does not grant a quality change.

Well, it is a story worth finishing!
I'm one of those people who didn't manage to get to end of it mostly because I sold my soul for a shinny diamond! But I do intend to finish it after I get my puff back (been 6-7 months).
Now, RNG is the only part of it, but there's One's Public, Hoist the black flag from Zee, exchanging packages with other players, An unsigned message, The Bonfire of the Decencies (rare Wolfstack Docks card with odds are against you challenge), Wolfstack in the fog
(multiple options from Crying his wares) which has options for 300, 400, 500 bundle value, but check the required ware to sell, Veilgarden rare card (it could go either way challenge), there were claims that The student body is (was?) up to 204, but many attempts prove otherwise, Trade favours with urchins in Flit (but you give up the option for 28.8 E).
There are Playing with Broken Toys 1-2 card, Troubled by Vermin rare success, Honey-Sipping Heiress start, Shadowy 69–106 Flit card. Not sure if these options still have 200+ value, but they are locked pretty soon so we can ignore them.
We also have the abundant Hallowmas card (saw someone on forum claiming to have sold their soul 3 times during the event) and Noman's card if you have Light Fingers ambition.
I managed to get my first one back in 4-6 weeks followed by 2 months of silence, but got the Fate story as I wanted to experience it! After that, I drew hundreds of One's Public cards, opened hundreds of packages, drew ~100 Hallowmas cards and used the Noman option more than a few dozens; no soul yet! 
Time to finally bookmark a post which contains all options for Soul. Did I miss anything?

Possibly a foolish question--I am contemplating buying a ticket to Polythreme to pursue my Heart's Desire. But it warns me that will cost me all "progress" qualities. But what are Progress Qualities? And will I lose them anyway if I use my own ship instead, at some point in the future?

Progress Qualities are things like Dramatic Tension, The Hunt is On, Investigating, etc. You'd lose them if you went on your own ship, too. A list is on the wiki here.

Waiting to acquire a ship would be both cheaper and faster, though. If you are not yet a PoSI your stats may also be low enough to make Polythreme inconvenient.

do we know what is going on with patronage system. the requirements to send lessons has droped to 26 watchful from 100. I am pretty sure people reach to 26 before they get their first time the healer visit. Also what is masterclasses and why only option to remove people from your masterclass is added. I am confused

The system has changed, along with most other lodgings-based social actions.
But where do you see the requirement for Watchful 26? I don't see it.
Under Deal with matters of Patronage!, you have the option to Share your knowledge with a Protégé (in the case of an Extraordinary Mind).
This option lists the following requirements:
You need:
- An Extraordinary Mind
- 1 x Free Evening
- Watchful 200
- A Patron of... (protégé)
- Offering a Masterclass (protégé) no more than 0
Your protégé needs:
- A Protégé of... (you)
- Watchful no more than 100
Sending such a teaching offer to your protégé gives you the quality "Offering a Masterclass (protégé)" (under Story in your "Myself" tab). This blocks you from sending them more lesson offers until they accept/reject this one. You can also Rescind an invitation to your masterclass.
Your protégé will receive a message to which they can respond, triggering for them the A Class from your Patron storylet, in which they can either accept your lesson as is, challenge you for a bigger stat boost, or decline the offer.

Hi, everyone. I've been away from the game for half a year. Have devs finished the content such as Ambitions and several other major stories (Dilmun club, return to Palace, what else was there)?

They've set up a timeline to finish several of them this year, but the only new content so far has been a social actions rework and the renown conversions.

They recently announced that this year they'll add content to some major storylets, such as Dilmun club, the return to the palace, and the last constable. They'll add the next step in Ambition: Light fingers!, too (bringing all ambitions 1 step away from completion).

I'm curious why I still have connected Hell and Constables. Does anyone else? I have favours and renown with both; apparently they just forgot to wipe it or something.
