Seems as if A contact in the Great game has a tale for you now unlocks with Favours: The Great Game 5, even though the conversion hasn't happened yet, and I don't have any such Favours. Curious. I thought it would take longer, but now I can't seem to find the text that mentioned roughly when this faction would be converted to Favours and Renown.

Going back to use the Copper Cipher Ring, I have come to the uncomfortable realisation that it sounds an awful lot like the fidget spinner of FL-verse.

conversion happened while I was at Nadir and got two woods in winter card and couldnt get any favors from it because I already had 7 favors

Well that just screwed me a bit, I've been spending the last week or so grinding Books of Hidden Bodies for a dubious landau and as soon as I get my fifth one it changes from 20 Connected GG, which I had, to 10 Renown that I do not have -_-

The veteran privy counselor has asked me to compose an opera. In the "why are you doing this?" storylet, I chose "for empress and country". I had 7 great game favors, and the choice's outcome made note of that fact and said it couldn't go any higher, so presumably that option gives a Great Game favor.

Hahaha, thanks! Took an unwanted visit there some time ago and it's not my favourite place due to dream loss. But sounds great! Time to get maaaaad! 
I love that place and I'm absolutely thrilled they put the Great Game item there! ^^

It totally makes sense in context of the Woods in Winter, which was a cool lore piece. Unfortunately, this is the one top-tier Renown item I'm a little disappointed in as a Midnighter.
Also, Cathy Raymond, why not get up to 39 Renown since you've got the 7 favours right now, instead of getting the 5-favour item?

It depends on if you enter the other nightmare area or not (which you might do accidentally if you're going in blind). Exiting from the Mirror Marches only costs 10 CP of a single quality, while exiting from the other place costs 5 CP of every dream quality. So not that much either way if your dream qualities are all very high. Certainly not even close enough to make you lose any of them.

You just lose a few cps of Someone is Coming, a memory of light and gain some wounds when you leave the Mirror Marches.
Just don't take the familiar place storylet as that will take you to a state of some confusion where you will lose some of every dream quality when you leave.

They've spent the last year working on a Persona Engine.
As far as they're aware, they're still fine-tuning it and the new content is still on hold.

The conversion factor is 6, so 5 Renown would have required 51 Connected (21 + 6*5).

Woods in Winter, in the Nadir, grants a Favor. At least it does if you are entwined with the Clathermonts, I assume that part works the same either way.

I basically sacrificed connected hell and constables in order to focus on The Great Game and it worked! I have renown 50!

I have no Renown so I can't get anything yet, but I've been holding the Faction card in my hand for a few days.
The 10-Renown Item is named [spoiler]"A Subscription to the Gazette and a Whetted Pair of Scissors."[/spoiler]
The Faction card now has an option to earn Favors ("Assist in a Stakeout"), whereas previously it did not have a way to increase Connected. It increases Wounds, presumably on account of the coffee.
