Connected 298 netted me Renown 46, too bad I'm currently in the Mind of Long-Dead God. Also, was kind of hoping it would get me 50, but whatevs.

HOW ARE THEY WRITING SO QUICKLY?
Are the writers working in parallel or something? Are they somehow finished converting everything and just releasing the content in waves? Are they using word processors from the Iron Republic? edited by Saklad5 on 6/6/2017

Connected 48 got me no renown and seven favours, I should have cleared five based on others conversion rates correct?

First 21 levels of Connected become Favours (3:1 ratio, up to 7).
Levels beyond the first 21 become Renown (in this case 6:1 ratio), but only if this will result in at least 5 Renown.
This means that you'll only get the first level of Renown if you had Connected: The Great Game 51.
This is so that people with very little Renown will still be able to use the Carnival option to get free Favours.

As far as they're aware, they're still fine-tuning it and the new content is still on hold.

Huh. Both my accounts still have Connected: the Great Game. No conversion yet for either of them.

Woods in Winter, in the Nadir, grants a Favor. At least it does if you are entwined with the Clathermonts, I assume that part works the same either way.

Ahh I had 45. So close. It's actually better.
If you had Connected 51, you would have now had 7 Favours and Renown 5. But because you had less, you have 7 Favours and no Renown.
THis means you can spend your Favours (profitably!), and use the Carnival options to both raise Renown to 5 for free and get a bunch of new Favours in the process.

I'm pleased, as I wasn't expecting even that much, to be honest, with conversion rates going as high as they have, and my character isn't one for the Great Game anyway. Still, 7 favours will come in handy For anyone too lazy to pull up calc.exe, this puts the conversion factor at 6, which is even lower than Urchins was. Even lower than Urchins, aka the same or higher than every single conversion prior?

"A Parliament of Bats" has a new option alongside the usual luck challenge, which cost a Vision of the Surface and returned a Great Game favor. I wonder what the new possible outcomes are for the luck challenge, since it used to return Certifiable Scraps or Connected: The Great Game.

After this, is anyone willing to bet on the conversion factor for Society? Seeing as it is way easier to grind.

The wiki indicates that the failure now returns a small number of Cryptic Clues instead of a Favour.

I'm seeing a favors renown conversion option on the wiki, but my cipher wring only has the quirk polishing option and the fate option. Is anyone else missing a way to gain renown?
