Stones and ruins and reworks and factions - so much happening in Fallen London! If you've any questions about it all, here's the place to ask them.

I'm tempted to say forget the whole system and just enjoy the game. You probably won't get very far (Bohemian and Society are going have a BRUTAL conversion rate, I fancy), and the low tier items that might be in your reach aren't really worth the bother anyway, in my opinion.
I spent months grinding Hell, only to find the Renown 40 item wasn't as good as the thing I had in that slot already. An utter waste of time when I could have been playing the game more. Grinding is tedious, and I think I've had my fill. The Constables one was very nice, though. But worth all the time I spent to get it? Not sure. I think I'm going to ignore Renown from now on and just play the stories. edited by Plynkes on 6/11/2017

If you play through the entirety of the story, you should then be able to reset it for 25 fate. Phew. Thank you kindly. I've played through it again and gotten the proper ending this time. All shall be well, and all manner of thing shall be THE SUN THE SUN THE SUN THE SUN THE SUN THE SUN THE SUN

It's under the storylet to do something dangerous with a friend, but it requires an extra action to access right now.

With all the changes going around, I wonder do you think we could get a new club or two? The Parthenaeum is too stuffy and conservative for my character's taste, and the Young Stags a little too silly, a little too much like one of those college fraternities one sees in the American moving pictures.
Perhaps something a little more esoteric and mysterious, or something Bohemian? Or perhaps a political club for those of a revolutionary bent, like what the Frenchies had in the 1790s.
Edit: Thinking about it, I don't suppose this sort of question is what this thread is for, as it is more in the nature of a suggestion. Please disregard. edited by Plynkes on 6/7/2017

I certainly know of friends who are Seen With at least three people and possibly more, many more. And why not? (Answering for a friend, naturally.)

At exactly 28 SMEN (no higher, no lower, and 30 is right out), an option opens in the Seeking Road storylet in your lodgings for the "Lower Mysteries". You need 7 Uncanny Incunabulum in order to play the storylet and you can only do so once, which brings you to 29. At that point, try to get hold of Mr. Eaten's Calling Card - either request on the thread in the Singing Mandrake (there may be a bit of a wait list) or make one yourself through God's Editors. But once you have the card, you can go to Winking Isle, the RNG-plagued yet most efficient way of grinding SMEN.

At least eight. (Probably the limit is the number of people you can be Aquainted With)

Yes, it gives both endings.
Could you be more specific on how it suppose to work Could I have played After Jack/the Aftermath of the Secrets, or there were some hidden content that I have missed?
I'm not sure what you need clarifying, it iust gives you the rewards and texts for both endings.

If you want to be a Legendary Charisma you need either a Parabola Linen Frock or Suit. So if you don't want to choose that specialization, as you say, the Exquisite Ivory Gown has better persuasive.

Sorry RL means I am not a very active player at the moment. No social actions unless you are prepared to wait and definitely no sparring or other mult-action things.
No Calling Cards or boxed cats please. Will take dupes on the affluent photographers. Other social invitations welcome. Parabolan Kittens usually available, send me an in-game social action saying you want one and I will get one to you as soon as possible.

They're probably a little overloaded at the moment due all the updates. I'm not sure how long it will take, but I'm confident you'll get help eventually.
I'm on 200 or very close in every of the four main attributes. Yours suggestions for one exceptional specialisation for my POSI quality ???? I'm thinking about An Extraordinary Mind. That one has the most mechanical benefits. You may want to consider others if you want renown 50 on certain factions (impossible to get docks 50 without the dangerous one, iirc).
Ultimately though I'd suggest getting whatever fits your RP. It's impossible to change, there are very few things it benefits significantly, and it's a pain to maintain. Personally I don't bother so that I can do weekly trips to the nadir. edited by Kaijyuu on 6/6/2017
