Branden, may I ask what's the Quality connected with your pet, and what phrase describes it? edited by streetfelineblue on 2/8/2012 edited by streetfelineblue on 2/8/2012 edited by streetfelineblue on 2/8/2012 edited by streetfelineblue on 2/8/2012 edited by streetfelineblue on 2/9/2012

What faction gives you the Taciturn Mynah, if I may? I'm compiling a little guide out of personal curiosity.
The Docks. A fine gent was kind enough to loose him at dice just before mentioning he wasn't worth anything.
What were you gambling for if I might ask?
I was there for an unrelated clandestine meeting; the gambling was just flavor text from the outing.

I do! She's a tortoise. An anarcho-tortoise. I'll put her on my mantle.

I'm a little sad that alot of my pets dont give any adjustments, Surely an Ocular Toadbeast is a little bizarre or am I out of touch with society these days and they have become passe? (I have been away exploring awhile)
and just WHERE are everyone getting all these wonderful new pets from? I've not seen any cards or locations offering them? Do I need to retread some of the old stories?

Agreed, though I suspect, as the system is yet larval, we shall see further Respect/Dread/Bizarre modifiers as we go. The Toadbeast is bizarre indeed, and (as the best Shadowy pet currently available) should be popular.
The new pets are available through storylines beginning as opportunity cards in the four starter areas!

She is, interestingly, a Respectable tortoise. Perhaps it's her wise old soul showing through.

No, I meant... There are four Story qualities that are given together with the pet (with my Hungover Terrier came Fingerwork, for example), and I'm recording them as well.

Oh, I do beg your pardon! 'twas The Eyes of Icarus.

No, it was Criminals... Now completed thanks to Twitter help. There's the complete list as of now:
*SPOILER* Bohemians: Hungover Terrier - +1 Bizarre - Fingerwork "What is it that crawls behind the glass?"
The Church: Tell-Tale Beetle - +1 Respectable - The Eyes of Icarus "Icarus returning / longs for the deep places."
Criminals: Disappointing Marsh-Wolf - +1 Dreaded - Fingerwork "What is it that crawls behind the glass?"
The Constables: Maverick Bloodhound - +1 Dreaded - Falling Cities "There were four cities before London. One day you may know all their secrets."
The Docks: Taciturn Mynah - +1 Respectable - Fingerwork "What is it that crawls behind the glass?"
The Great Game: Subtle Mole - +1 Dreaded - The Gates of the Garden "There is a reason that Death shuns the Neath. What is it?"
Hell: Preening Macaw - +1 Bizarre - The Gates of the Garden "There is a reason that Death shuns the Neath. What is it?"
Revolutionaries: Partisan Messenger Tortoise - +1 Respectable - The Eyes of Icarus "Icarus returning / longs for the deep places."
Society: Racing Slug of Fine Pedigree - Respectable +1 - Falling Cities "There were four cities before London. One day you may know all their secrets."
Tomb-Colonists: Bandaged Raven - +1 Bizarre - The Gates of the Garden "There is a reason that Death shuns the Neath. What is it?"
Urchins: Grubby Kitten - +1 Dreaded - The Eyes of Icarus "Icarus returning / longs for the deep places." *SPOILER* edited by streetfelineblue on 2/9/2012

Fascinating - thank you very much for compiling those! So, for some reason, the Orient and the Rubbery Men have no stake in menagerie. And may I incidentally add that "Racing slug of fine pedigree" should take the award as Phrase of the Week.
Edit: It's rather curious that there's no Orient option... as that would make a total of twelve, allowing for four each of the three stat boosts, and three each of the four qualities. As it is, we're something Bizarre and Lapsarian short of perfect balance. edited by Sir Frederick Tanah-Chook on 2/9/2012

Orient, Rubbery men, Duchess and Masters of the Bazaar, though the last two don't surprise me (although, the Duchess gifting a cat to somebody who rendered her a service wouldn't be TOO farfetched). I don't know if there's a plan to implement afterwards, or, more probably, they just didn't feel the need for perfect symmetry.
Right now I'm more dying to know what these new qualities do... *SPOILER*The Gates of the Garden*SPOILER seems VERY interesting *_*

Judging by what @EchoBazaar says on Twitter, you can have only a pet at a time: to have another you should abandon the first, though for the life of me I don't know HOW. In fact, I got the card a second time and it read "You can't play this card if your Hungover Terrier is higher than 0 " edited by streetfelineblue on 2/9/2012 edited by streetfelineblue on 2/9/2012

I wonder, do the opportunity cards for the new pets ALSO only appear in the starting four areas?
