Questions! We all have them. But not, perhaps, if they are answered.

I looked it up and it looks like i's motly useless to me. Vey beautiful and peculiar, no doubt, and I like the +Bizarre, but It doesn't influence my stats of choice and I don't intend to put in the effort to purposefully seek sapphires.

The Bizarre bonus is the lesser portion of the Cane's benefits. You can get all kinds of items with +1 BDR in the weapon slot. What you can't get is any other item that helps your Nightmares. The Nightmare reduction isn't just about not visiting the Royal Beth; there are several non-discardable annoyances that come up when your Nightmares start getting too high, and the ability to drop your Nightmares by +2 (Cane + Fish) at need is great for clearing your hand.

I'd say high 400s are probably safe, but the urchins was harsher than everyone expected and people are paranoid.

Nice, I'll try to catch the opportunity ASAP.

Actually, you can also safely switch professions after receiving the weekly payment, as long as you don't collect it.

That is: every week at the same time, Time the Healer will bring you an Earnest of Payment. What reward you get depends on your profession at the time when you redeem it.

I think you meant to say An Earnest of Payment. The Professional Perk has set options no matter what your profession.

Above 400, at least. 271 has been the absolute lowest possible from all of the renown conversions, and hell is almost certainly going to be more harsh.

Is it just me, or are other people finding that lately the game is a lot more buggy than it used to be? I get an empty beige space in the centre of my game page or a 'Not Found' page far more often than is comfortable these days.
The problem seems to have gotten better this week, but for the past 2-3 weeks I'd been having a problem with the timer for actions/cards. The timer would say that a new card could be drawn/one action would be given in, say, 30 seconds; 30 seconds later, the page would then say no, it was going to take 6 minutes. Drove me nuts - I could never accurately know when my deck/actions would be refreshed. This happened on the web-brower version of the game.

The time of your professional reward never changes (except through server problems)

And nothing blocks the bohemian card. The RNG just dislikes us all.

Maximizing bizarre isn't too important. Other than the screaming map, which doesn't need max bizarre, I don't think there are any checks.

Thank you all! Changed the job, got my payment.
Also seems like I just needed to go to Veilgarden to draw the card. Ouch.

That's definitely just a coincidence. The Bohemian card can be drawn anywhere in London.

Ah, yes, iirc the wiki says if the card is location-locked. Then my luck was reeeeally toying with me. But all's well that ends well.

It changes with every new option you unlock. It goes 1, 2, 4 I believe.

Correct. The higher options don't just cost more favors; they give Renown more per favor - which is good, since they also cost other resources, too.

Correct. The higher options don't just cost more favors; they give Renown more per favor - which is good, since they also cost other resources, too.

For Renown 0-7, 1 CP Renown per Favor, min 3 Favors per Turn-In, no other costs.

For Renown 8-14, 2 CP Renown per Favor, min 5 Favors per Turn-In, each Turn-In costs about 2.5 Echoes worth of stuff.

For Renown 15+, 4 CP Renown per Favor, min 7 Favors per Turn-In, each Turn-In costs about 12.5 Echoes worth of stuff. Additionally the turn-in has both a stat requirement and a stat check for the stat associated with that faction, both of which scale with current Renown. Requirement is 6*Renown, and the stat check is around 65-70% chance of success if you just barely meet the stat requirement. Failing the stat check loses around 1/5 the material cost of the turn-in, but loses no Favors.

I need a few cellars of wine, what's the most efficient method of grinding them? I'm guessing through Absinthe from the affair of the box, but just wanted to check.

Are you talking about the challenge difficulty? If so, get better Dangerous gear, becoming a Monster Hunter helps as well. Fastest way to increase Dangerous is to find another player that wishes to do so, challenge each other and use the second chances to increase the skill.

Well, once you reach SoTC and have copies of all the works you can do, it is really not necessary to hang around there. Plus, it unlocks Port Carnelian and carousel in Foreign Office. I'd say it is pretty all right trade off.

Is there a limit to the amount of actions a player can hold in their messages?
For example--hypothetically speaking--if someone were to send their partner about 1000 actions worth of invitations while they were off on vacation, would said partner return to an inbox of 1000 invitations or would some of them be lost / deleted?

I don't think there's a limit on how many you can have waiting. There is, however a limit on how many will show up. If you have too many, the game won't let you see more until you use some of the ones you can see and refresh the tab.

If you just want to be able to see the conflict cards, 50 is definitely enough, if not less.

Constables will be converted before Hell. And if you want 400 Connection (some people believe this is enough for 40 Renown) with them it will cost you about 2+ months of grind.
Maybe you can grind Hell faster than Constables. But its still probably unwise, if you have more interesting options than 2 months of grind without any story progress. Anyway, what do you get in the end? Probably, one item with +2 Stat better than you can buy.
