That's helpful advice. I had no idea you could use antique mysteries to get a reservation, I thought you had to get a ludicrous amount of honey.

It's easy to miss--you need to talk to the Merry Gentleman, that guy who won't leave you alone if your Nightmares get too high. The storylet is also invisible until your Watchful is 100.

That's timely. My nightmares are about 7 at the moment and I've been avoiding that card sitting in my hand.

Nope. Except at one point in one of the ambitions, I think.

McGunn/Bsymstad is on the slow boat, waiting to see if he can find out what death is. (I'm done with London for now. Thanks for everything!)
Amanda Albright is a *spoiler* now, like she always wanted.

On returning from scientific expeditions is it only the university option that unlocks further stories? The others seem to promise items but I haven't yet seen a use for most of them.

Returning to the university doesn't actually unlock any stories at this point, unfortunately. It lets you have some college connection grind storylets, but there's not really much to do otherwise.

Job-related question: I joined the game and became a Minor Poet almost a week ago; if I will change my profession to Journalist today, will I receive my weekly reward in next 1-2 days or only a week after changing job? In other words, is it wiser to wait for a weekly reward and only then switch to Journalist? Sorry if the question sounds confusing.
(Well, I don't have any luck with Demi-Monde: Bohemians card anyway for now, waited for couple of days and also resetted my 10 cards a few times, but it doesn't showing. Wiki says it's a standart frequency card, not common but not rare either; and it has showed earlier some times. I wonder if something is blocking it now, or it's just bad luck)

The time of your professional reward never changes (except through server problems)

And nothing blocks the bohemian card. The RNG just dislikes us all.

Nice, I'll try to catch the opportunity ASAP.
Oh, yes, it does, but after some gacha-card-based games it's certainly not that bad.
Thank you for your answer and have a nice day!

Maximizing bizarre isn't too important. Other than the screaming map, which doesn't need max bizarre, I don't think there are any checks.

Actually, you can also safely switch professions after receiving the weekly payment, as long as you don't collect it.

That is: every week at the same time, Time the Healer will bring you an Earnest of Payment. What reward you get depends on your profession at the time when you redeem it.

I think you meant to say An Earnest of Payment. The Professional Perk has set options no matter what your profession.

Exactly. You're absolutely correct.

Yes. Try to rob brass embassy in the Flit and fail. Downside: you will lose ALL devil connection.

If you're a Seeker, you make 7 trips to New Newgate without increasing your criminal record. As a bonus, you can also do unspeakable things to your soul so that devils will stop asking you for it.

What level do you need to be a patron? I thought you just had to be over 100 in your stats.

You have to have a POSI specialization, which requires 200 in a stat. You can only specialize in one stat, so you can only be a patron for that one stat.

Can a patron have any number of protegés, or only one at a time?

Hieronymus Drake: Gentleman scholar, big-game hunter, scar-faced aristocrat. Remarkably sane, all things considered.
Tanith Wyrmwood: Longshanks cat-burglar; Bohemian author; now, perhaps, something more. Bubbly, expressive, and affectionate. It’s not only still waters that run deep.
Telemachia Lee: Gentle lady by birth, brawling Docker by choice. Good company in the drunk tank.
