I think I have figured out who the Capering Relicker is. Utnapishtim; Aka Noah. From the subtle hint of The Manager calling him 'Uncle' and Wikipedia, I came to this conclusion. The Capering Relicker might not be The Manager's Uncle, but at least his great times how many uncle. Gilgamesh's name appears to translate to "The Ancestor is a Young-man" so there's a bit more to back my theory up.

what would he be doing in the Neath, thugh? Utnapishim was already immortal if I remember correctly, and he didn't live in any big city that the Masters could have stolen.

Maybe he was on the outskirts of the 1st city? Visiting? The Masters heard of The Manager's immortal uncle, approached him, and he decided that the Neath would be a better place to be a hermit? I don't know, but my theory is the only one so far.

I'll note that a theory being "the only one so far" speaks very little for the validity of the theory, but yeah, there are some things about Utnapishtim and his role in the Epic that stand out.
[spoiler]I'm personally not convinced the Manager is Gilgamesh, but there's obviously some inspiration, and I don't find it unlikely that Capering has been inspired by Utnapishtim in the same way. In both cases, there is the king and his older relative who knows the secrets of the immortality-plant.[/spoiler]

It might not be so, but I have reached the top of a pillar, and from there, we can snake out to other pillars, which might be the truth. It's sort of a shame, when he pops by, I can't say, "Ah. The Capering Relicker! It's always nice to see you! Or, should I call you Utnapishtim?" Just to see his reaction.
