Oh, but in case anyone was curious, I asked shortly before the stream and was told there should be an announcement next month regarding Fallen London.

I should elaborate! We now have more people who are fully trained up and working at full capacity across our games, so I am fairly sure we'll have some news of the things they're going to deliver for Fallen London in the coming month(s). I can't be more precise at the moment because we're currently pitching and planning this work. Here's more from Adam on where we're at, from the recent AMA.

Note that I'll be away on maternity leave from 13 April, but you've been getting your Fallen London updates from Haley for yonks now so nothing should change!

Have I made a terrible mistake by courting the affections of the Quiet Devilress? I nearly lost my soul yesterday!

I have worked through the opportunity / CTD to get my first Mark of Credit but have no idea where the Nemesis key may be.

Is there a way to switch allegiances in the War of Illusion? I have an aversion to seances. DO I have to progress to the end befor betrayal or can I switch through contradictory actions (as in the Docks)?

One more! How do I get a book of Hidden Bodies? Is it the same as a book of the dead?

1) yeah, she's after your soul. Constantly rejecting her will shoo that danger away.

2) the stone tentacle key is in hunters keep

3) You need to play both sides in the flit to switch sides. If you didn't do that, you're stuck.

4). No, you can make them in the bazaar sidestreets or by winning enough plant fights.

What is the most profitable way to raise Nightmares to 5? I need it for Somnolent Hyaena

Remember the bonnet which grants +1 Nightmares. If you're starting from 0 equip it and unequip it; it'll gain you a free CP. Here are the best possible options for Nightmares.

Is there any use to the "recurring dreams" properties?

Interesting things happen if you listen to What the Thunder Said long enough. None of the other dreams, to my knowledge, do anything more than open up variant options on other recurring dream cards.

Remember that What the Thunder Said quality has more cards (and more abundant) so it won't take you ages. You'll need some carousels on Mutton Island thought.

Having run through the newspaper storyline a couple of times based on storylets alone, I have the definite feeling I'm missing something. Is there a guide? Are there cards? Do they crop up all over London, or do I need to stay in Doubt Street?
Any assistance would be most appreciated. (I shall include a puff piece about you and your endeavours in the next edition of the Neath Hellion. I promise.)

This was quite a bit higher in the post, but it doesn't look like it got answered.
There are various cards that will appear with different Hours Before the Deadline quality. You can be wherever you want in London for them to show up, IIRC. There are ones that show up for values 2-12 that let you interview other characters that are pursuing ambitions. There are also various other cards. All the things you can do can be found here.
There isn't a huge story quality to running a newspaper, though. You can gain some qualities by publishing newspapers with the larger amount of meritorious, salacious, or outlandish copies, although the only one that has much use is becoming a defender of the truth and using it in the Affair of the Box storyline.

I never actually learned, what is the best gift from the Capering Relicker when my someone is coming comes through? I assume it's between the Posi or fate options like the Soul Trade?

I don't have all of the options unlocked, but I will say that if you are a Spirifer, it seems that the option unlocked by your own Infernal Contract is better than the one unlocked by the Soul Trade itself (and this is better than the POSI option).

You could theoretically get those CP from red bordered dream cards, which cost no actions (if used at 0 actions), though the nightmare boost alone probably makes this unprofitable.

Thanks everyone who answered my question!. is there any more story content in the Palace cellar storyline once I unlocked "Back to the Palace Cellars"? The story so far is intriguing

Are you going to spend any money on this game? Then yeah, there is a continuation.
Otherwise... no. You are stuck.

My character isn't very Hedonistic - hence, options for settling both affairs at once are out of the question.

Not on the question precisely, but have you considered just hanging out in Veilgarden until you get the quirk high enough. Practically everything involving the Bohemian mindset will increase it.

From a mechanical standpoint, Austere is so easy to get up with Church cards, etc. that it's probably not worth worrying about. From an RP standpoint, precisely how austere is a character who's planning what you suggest? Even if it's overall out of character for Prof. Logan, I think it's fair to say that she's having an episode that definitely shows less than monkish austerity.

Connected: Society tends to grow on its own, especially once you've become a POSI and started the Notability dance. Besides the aforementioned conflict card, it can be cashed out by calling in favors in the Shuttered Palace or the Empress's Court. It also has some minor use getting you out of the Tomb Colonies more quickly, should you end up there. Or, if you have no need for monumental quantities of wine, just let it build. One of these centuries, Society will be moved over to the Favor/Renown system, and given the ease of procuring it I'm sure the conversion value will be astronomical. Might as well let it build itself to triple digits in the interim.

Hazel, the last time they brought it up was when we found out constables are next, then hell.

Waterpls, you need to wait and draw a new card the stallion put in your deck.

Sadly, no. But there was an announcement of a batch of updates more recently, though all except light fingers have been released. No dates were mentioned in that announcement and it has been three years since that update.

    Specifically:

Back in October 2014, FBG have announced that after a long delay, the four ambitions will finally each get an update:
"After the Bag a Legend update is complete, we’ll be updating Nemesis in a few weeks, then Heart’s Desire and finally Light Fingers. We’ll intersperse these releases with other new content (like Hallowmas) that will appeal to players who haven’t fully explored their ambitions yet."

And, indeed, Bag a Legend received its update in October 2014, followed by a Nemesis update shortly after in December 2014.

Then there was a very long pause, and eventually, Heart's Desire was updated in June 2015. Since then, there's been no update to Light Fingers, though a comment on Twitter from December 2015 confirmed that it's "next".
