I've raised Renown: Criminals to 42 (from 0! I didn't understand how the Connections/Renown systems worked for the first 6 months or so I played...). I'm trying to cash in 7 Criminal Favors to raise it to 43, but I've hit a stat wall. I need Shadowy 250 to do the conversion, but with a maxed Shadowy at 200 and all my high-end shadowy gear equipped I can only manage to get it up to 243.
Is it time to use one of those mood cards I've been hoarding to get a boost to Shadowy?
I've read that if you didn't get a faction's Connected high enough before the Renown conversion that hitting the Renown: 50 mark is impossible. Is it? Should I let go of a pipe dream?

Are you specialized in Shadowy for your tier 2 POSI? If you're not I'm pretty sure it's impossible to get to 50.

Thanks for the reply! If by tier 2 POSI, you mean choosing to become - what is it called? An invisible eminence? Then no, I'm too afraid to choose a specialty because of the stat reduction in the weekly Cave of the Nadir trips.

How do you increase your connected Revolutionary for someone who is not a scholar of correspondence? I have a name scrawled in blood at 7.
Found meet some revolutionaries up to 10.

Yeah - but really, you should gain access to the Reaping the Academic Benefits storylet as soon as possible. It's the most economical option to raise Connected: Revolutionaries.

You can. I think you do it by working with cats, then going through the same process with bats (or bats then cats, order doesn't matter) before you take the story to Mahogany hall. If you've already progressed the story to mahogany hall, I think it's too late.

I need to earn a couple Venom Rubies, and I just remembered that The Pickpocket's Promenade is a thing.
My concern is, since it's a different area that utilizes OppCards, will I lose the ones I currently have in hand? I've been holding onto this Good Omen for a while now, and I don't want it to just disappear.

As far as I'm aware, each area has its own deck, so it shouldn't discard them. I know cards aren't discarded when going to zee, the nadir, or any of the menace areas, so I would think it's the same for the pickpocket's promenade.

I've gotten the "-214748362 card" deck. Will it clear up when I go to zee?
Edit: I'm in London at the moment; it probably happened because I just got my head chopped off.

Yeah, it'll clear up when you go to zee or do anything else that refreshes your deck (eg. a Flash Lay).

EDIT: I was going through my old posts again, and came upon this. Yes, you do keep opportunity cards in hand if you enter the Pickpocket's Promenade.

I can confirm that no change of location/deck resets the cards you have in your hand anymore. It used to be the case that some places did, but now wherever you go you'll have the same hand upon reentering London as you did when you left.

Hi fellow londoners. I'm now at the fourth coil of the labyrinth of tigers, and i'm at the point where the bishop ask me to hunt a monster. Now, which beast should I catch? Can I only catch one? Is this a repeatable storylet or a one-time choice?
