Can you beat Flute Street?

Hello there! I bought Flute Street yesterday and opened the way to it. I managed to get a rubbery hound for theological husbandry and bred it with the serum. So aside from rubbery companions I was wondering if Flute Street had a decisive end. The whole grinding part is really irritating but I do love the story and I was wondering if it had an end.

You can grind Favours with the Rubberies there, and there's a unique item if you have Renown 40.
Also, if you're willing to spend a lot of Fate, you can let them... enhance you. This opens a few options around London, including getting a Rubbery spouse (best BDR, with +3 bizarre).

The Fate price is really silly, in my opinion. It would be expensive but tolerable at a fifth of the cost.
To be perfectly honest, I'd much rather it cost a Nodule of Fecund Amber or something. That would also make narrative sense, as far as I can tell.
