Is there any guides/math on leveling base stats? Is there faster way than social actions?
Are results in Unfinished Business tasks stat dependent? Expecially intrested in The prince of... .

Outside of social actions the best way to raise stats is to deliberately attempt actions with 90% success rate. You get 2 points on success and 1 on failure, leading to 1.9 CP per action. This is best achieved by getting a Talkative Rattus Faber and switching around your gear.
No unfinished business is stat dependent, as far as I know. That one is just very random.

The overall fastest way to raise stats is second chances. The second is to attempt almost impossible challenges, which give you 4cp on failure and 6? On success (not sure I the actual number, but it's big). Of course, this gathers a lot of menaces. Really the only storylet that's useful for this later in the game is to play chess with the boatman a while lot.
Kaijyuu's way is probably best, because it also gives you items. I got shadowy to 200 by grinding the affair of the box without really trying all that much.

I haven't tested the Unfinished Story, but I know for sure that you get to keep Spying on Polythreme. I'm confident you'll retain your Unfinished Story quality as well.

So if it is a companion the fact that I need to pay over 100 echo for the initial hat , well the item is no longer worth it.

Im still getting all the best items at the bazaar and still need money. And one week on and still didn't get the Bandages and Rust card to cash in my collections of curiosities. Will do up until that option.
