My main just got the Encounter card this evening. Still hasn't seen Lilac, but that was okay because she had 20 Masquing from Opportunity Cards. In consequence she has obtained the companionship of an Enigmatic Augur.
My alt has not seen either card, of course, but with her now limited financial means she has not been exchanging a lot of Feast gifts. edited by cathyr19355 on 2/15/2017

And still no encounter. Not even one. Meanwhile, of course, I have been sitting on a Lilac and a Rose card forever, not able to use them until after I have drawn ... you guessed it.

I'm in almost the same position (I've only gotten TtH once)! It's so frustrating. Plus, I'm having wifi problems now, so my card-drawing has been dramatically reduced :0(

This is part of the great tradition of the Feast:
Week 1: Everyone exchanges gifts and are excited. Week 2: Lots of despair and frustration at the lack of Lilac and/or the Encounter card.
It's a proud tradition, going strong for several years now. It's no surprise that the game itself comments on the difficulty of finding Lilac's card. It wouldn't be the same Feast otherwise :-)
Jokes aside - hang in there everyone. The cards *will* appear if you keep flipping. It might take a few minutes or a few days, but it will happen. Also, if past behaviour is to be trusted as a guide, the cards' frequency will increase as the Feast progresses.

I certainly hope so, since I seem to have entered some sort of dry spell today.
Oh, well. I'll be working on my last PoSI items while I wait for Lady Luck to grace my side again.

I've got a main account and 3 others for the other ambitions. The main and one other get all 3 cards fairly frequently. One gets the cards all the time, almost at will, and the fourth hasn't gotten an Encounter once. Perhaps that's the wonder of the randomizer!

Damn it, I’m moving to a Remote Address just this once. Maybe that’ll help.
I find it hilarious that moving to a snail shell in the middle of nowhere increases my odds of meeting people in Fallen London proper. edited by Saklad5 on 2/16/2017

I'm already at a Remote Address and have been flipping cards since the Feast begun. I've got The Feast of the Rose! a few times and Lilac twice so I've been able to generate 30 Masquing but the Encounter has never shown up at all..
I can only hope the RNG gets better from here.

I do hope that the Encounter card becomes ubiquitous, or even pinned, before the Feast ends. I haven't been lucky enough to draw it thus far, and I'd hate for my friends to have wasted the Fate they spent on getting my masquing up.

Agreed! I've had simply terrible luck drawing it. (And what on earth am I going to do with 28 Glasses of Teeth if I never get to use them?)

But roulette is exciting fun! That's why it's on TV all night after everyone has gone to bed. I would put money on a roulette table.
As long as it was somebody else's money.

At 30 masquing on one of my accounts, and still no Encounter card--I'm starting to wonder if the site is reading 30 as zero or some other bug.

I'm at 30 masquing holding an encounter card because I need to seee lilac to get to 40. Tay1or wrote:

Hahah! Finally drew it, first card today!!! I'm so pleased! ^o^ The wait really makes that fateful draw more fun, I've got to say. Bravo, darlings.

I just drew An Encounter again! Julian the Presbyterate Diplomat with an athlete's physique finally has a retreat in my Dripstone-Snared Third City Sub-Temple.
Now just to draw it seven more times . . . . edited by DonaghyLogan on 2/16/2017

Here's some confirmation that the Lady in Lilac and Encounters both became storylets last year: http://community.failbettergames.com/topic21774-thoroughly-maddening-millie-lilac-shakes-fist.aspx?Page=3
Edit: Also, whoops! I think I just accidentally reported someone to the moderator. Please pay no mind.

I held Lilac in my hand for a while, because I wanted to get rid of these blasted Gifts of Scorn. I finally drew the Encounter card, made the acquaintance of a certain affable spy, got my Masquing down to 0, and was able to ditch five of the things. I think that makes five draws, all told.

So romantic! How very much in the spirit of the season!
