either use 2 trade secrets per try or wait to get to 100%(your choice here, though I would wait for 100% myself).

Last time I tried it I didn't wait and failed, so that experience plus your advice has made me decide to wait. Thanks!

Hi everyone! Can somebody tell me why would I want to get banished from the empress' court? Are there new storylets available when you get banished? I really like the storylets there and I wonder if it's a necessity to be banished for progressing the story. Thanks in advance
Being banished lets you enter the Foreign Office, where you can become Governor of Port Carnelian - then you can go there if you have a ship and do some late-game grinding. The usefulness is debateable.
Oh, and you get to p__s off the Empress. Actually, I think that's the main reason you might want to do it. edited by Bertrand Lyndon on 2/16/2017 edited by Bertrand Lyndon on 2/16/2017

I'm currently trying to worm my way into high society (read: I want join the Parthenaeum), but right now I'm short on Intriguing Snippets and I see only two sensible approaches available to me:
- Grinding Casing in the Flit (I have my own Gang of Hoodlums), robbing the study of the Duchess' for Stolen Correspondence (by the by, that Lady must have an astounding numer of aquaintances, considering just how many letters are lying around there) and turning said correspondence into snippets. This is what I'm doing.
- Grinding Counting the Days and turn my 4 marks of credit into snippets (I'm closest to the Bohemians). This would net me some favors with both Urchins and Docks (I'm trying to raise my renown with both, but I guess I can do it in other ways)
Any suggestion or alternative method is appreciated. I haven't done the math on robbing the chambers of the Duchess, but an alternative (which is also less risky) is Ambushing Couriers in Spite. This 2-action option provides either 40 x Stolen Correspondence, or ~1-40 x Stolen Correspondence + 1 x Touching Love Story.

2. How common is Rare success from rob a drunk in spite? It is worth to grid it? Do you still get the Ratwork Clock? 1. If you raise it above 4 you'll have a non-discardable card. It's options require level 4 (10CP), but consume 20 CP so it's best to use it exactly at level 4. Unless you're a Spirifer, those options aren't that great. 2. People say it's ~2%, but in probably a month I'll do a long run. Best is to bookmark that sheet as it has interesting data in it. At the moment I'm at SiC 72 and aiming for level 77 just for RP reasons. The whole process requires 2625 cards (conflict, free of surface ties, Zee) and it's getting very annoying to have that darn card in hand for many, many months! But I'll get 437+ runs on robbing a rat!

Note that robbing a drunk is one of the very few checks in game where your access is directly a result of your stats (shadowy here). If you have the patience to wait, it really does pay off a bit to get your shadowy up as rat robbing is pretty much straight sellable cash. It's worth 0.015 E [sorry, error there: I think I've got the correct one now] per level of shadowy - not a ton you say, but if you're doing a bunch of runs in a row or using a mood it can add up. edited by Parelle on 2/17/2017

It seems it is 0.015E per shadowry level.
Items don't get down to being worth .005, so yes, its .15 per level. My shadowry is 112 that means when I rob A furious and incoherent drunken rat I get 56 fistful of surface coins. Selling them gets me 1.68E. At 0.15E/shadowry point 112 shadowry gets me 16.8E. That is why I asked. edited by Tofan Bogdan on 2/17/2017

What's the frequency on the Lady in Lilac card? And will they make it into a pinned storylet as the Feast draws to a close? I'm afraid I haven't seen hair nor hide of her at all and I'm getting worried You should have several times the card until now. To be on the safe side contact support.
Just thought of something...does living in a remote address take the Lilac card out of your deck?
No, not at all
It actually makes it easier to get, as it'll remove the city vices cards from your deck.
If you go to an area like your Lodgings or the Forbidden Quarter to draw cards, you'll avoid location-specific cards, too. Both my accounts used remote lodgings, and they were able to draw the card with no problem at all

FBG have only said that Constables is next, followed by Hell. Neither have they said that both (or either) would be done before year's end, nor have they said that no others would happen this year.

The Making your Name qualities need to be gained in order. For the Name Signed with a Flourish, you start in Veilgarden and eventually move up to the Shuttered Palace. Usually the stories you need to complete have "complete this story to progress" or similar in their description. Look over all the stories in veilgarden and make sure you've completed all the ones that mention the Flourish quality (especially ones that require the highest level of it).

Hello, if I choose the option to not get a tattoo, does it close off the option next year to get a tattoo (the second tattoo option)? That's correct. If you choose to have no tattoo you can't get another next year. So you'll get a +1 boost to Respectable, instead of the +2 to Bizzare/Dreaded from two tattoos.
