1. If you raise it above 4 you'll have a non-discardable card. It's options require level 4 (10CP), but consume 20 CP so it's best to use it exactly at level 4. Unless you're a Spirifer, those options aren't that great.
2. People say it's ~2%, but in probably a month I'll do a long run. Best is to bookmark that sheet as it has interesting data in it. At the moment I'm at SiC 72 and aiming for level 77 just for RP reasons. The whole process requires 2625 cards (conflict, free of surface ties, Zee) and it's getting very annoying to have that darn card in hand for many, many months! But I'll get 437+ runs on robbing a rat!
I was lucky Ive got a Ratwork Clock in 4 tries. So lucky. Now if the Lady in Liliac and an Encounter at feast I will draw.

1. Do starting expeditions consume supply crates? So I need 20 supply crates to complete an expedition so I must get at least 40 supply crates of 20?
2. How do you change the forgotten quarter air?
3. How is the easiest way to get the skull needed for caves of nadir?

If I recall correctly a fabulous diamond can be used from the inventory to make a bunch of magnificent ones, other than that it's just for selling.

Just starting it does not consume supplies.

The same storylet is probably the best way to get the skulls as well(a few of the options there have a rare success that do it, but you can also ask someone for it.

Note that robbing a drunk is one of the very few checks in game where your access is directly a result of your stats (shadowy here). If you have the patience to wait, it really does pay off a bit to get your shadowy up as rat robbing is pretty much straight sellable cash. It's worth 0.015 E [sorry, error there: I think I've got the correct one now] per level of shadowy - not a ton you say, but if you're doing a bunch of runs in a row or using a mood it can add up.

My shadowry is 112 that means when I rob A furious and incoherent drunken rat I get 56 fistful of surface coins. Selling them gets me 1.68E. At 0.15E/shadowry point 112 shadowry gets me 16.8E. That is why I asked.

It is 0.03 per 2 levels in the stat (specifically, shadowy/2 surface currency.) Parelle is wrong- it follows the pattern you see if you assume that it always rounds down to the last complete coin.

I've gotten 2 ratwork watches in ~200 robbings. Around 1 to 2% rare success sounds right.

If you plan to write short stories, it's useful to have one. Also you can spend them for high level quirk modifications, though that's obviously expensive.

Your "reward" is selling your soul. Everything else that needs intimate of devils is unlocked with 10, iirc.
If you're going to sell your soul I suggest you sell it to them and not elsewhere. It's the only reasonable way to get rid of their cards.

Well, the page count doesn't matter, so long as you have 10 or more at the end to publish. As far as EPA goes, I don't think writing is really very good. All the info on the wiki page on writing might be useful, but considering how many echoes worth of items that you throw into writing a story, I can't imagine you're getting much of a return.
