Sunless Skies, the Feast of the Rose - so much exciting stuff happening in Fallen London! But we can still ask questions about everyday business too.

Is Failbetter still pursuing a publisher for a Fallen London comic?

I did a quick Google search, but only found this page https://www.failbettergames.com/comic/ and old articles referring to it.

IIRC, you now need to watch for the unlocking of a storylet in Ladybones, "News at Clathermont's."

I'm sorry, but due to policy clarifications, I will no longer be giving detailed mechanics advice on the forums.

That looks correct according to the wiki! Should be around the same time as the Lady in Lilac card (the 15th, according to someone), appears at the top of Ladybones Road, and works for a value of 8 or 9. I didn't find it because wiki page for EinIotCF says it requires 8 specifically. Maybe that should be updated?

The wiki specifies that this option requires a value of 8-9, not specifically 8:
http://fallenlondon.wikia.com/wiki/News_at_Clathermont's

As for when, this year it will be on February 13th. To quote the formal post opening the Feast:

Absintheuse wrote:

SKIN-BOUND MEMORIES!

Clathermont's Tattoo Parlour! The place to come for inked proof of eternal love!

A unique story involving the Neath’s famed tattooists, the Clathermont Family is available for the duration of the Feast.

Find the Clathermonts in Ladybones Road when you have A Name in Seven Secret Alphabets at 4 or higher. As part of the Feast, continue this story from the same area by playing News at Clathermont’s from 13th February.

THE LADY IN LILAC

She examines you carefully. Her eyes swim with glints like violet wine...

The enigmatic Lady in Lilac returns to London during the Feast of the Exceptional Rose.

On the 13th February we will be releasing the Lady in Lilac card into your opportunity deck, allowing you to trade in your gifts for Masquing. From the 13th, you’ll also be able to turn in your Masquing for special companions on the Encounters at the Feast card.

The Feast will end on the 20th February. The Lady in Lilac and Encounters at the Feast will remain available until the 24th, after which your remaining Masquing will be converted to Making Waves when Time, the Healer visits.

Being a 50 pence item, it's difficult to get in bulk efficiently. However, if you have a large amount of any other 50 pence item, you can side convert them to incendiary gossip. You need 50 of any of the items at the top of this page and one of the options when using them will be the side conversion (ex: 50 Mysteries of the Elder Continent -> 51 Scraps of Incendiary Gossip, or Visions of the Surface -> Mysteries of the Elder Continent -> Scrap of Incendiary Gossip, etc).

Alternatively, if you have a large amount of proscribed material or inklings of identity, you can up convert those to Scraps of Incendiary Gossip. You'd need quite a lot though.

Is there an up-to-date overview somewhere about best-in-slot gear for each stat, including Fate-locked stuff?
I have everything from the Bazaar ('cept for Cider), am pretty much stat-capped and have bought some Fate-locked gear here and there (nowhere near everything, though). Now I would like to look into optimising the four stats and BDR.

There are pages on each stat on the wiki that'll tell you all the best in slot information. For example here is the dangerous one.

It hasn't returned, and we don't know when it will.

Failbetter didn't mention knife and candle at all since the season ended so we have no idea when it will come back.

You actually can zail there if you follow the Nemesis ambition. Otherwise...nope, your only option is too much Scandal.

It's not the same Tomb Colony for Nemesis but that one is reached by zailing.

If you need to go to the Tomb Colonies for an in-game reason you need to get exiled.

Sorry RL means I am not a very active player at the moment. No social actions unless you are prepared to wait and definitely no sparring or other mult-action things.

No Calling Cards or boxed cats please. Will take dupes on the affluent photographers. Other social invitations welcome. Parabolan Kittens usually available, send me an in-game social action saying you want one and I will get one to you as soon as possible.

Really? I thought it said "To Venderbright". It's been a while since I played this content so you are most likely right, however.

From a narrative perspective, it's probably the same colony since it has the same name (Venderbight).

However, mechanically it's very different. There are different storylets and cards based on whether you are sent there for exile or sailed there in disguise during Ambition: Nemesis. I don't think there's any overlap, so we might as well treat these as two different locations (perhaps as an exile you are only allowed into certain sections of the colony).

Happy Feast Season, everyone!

I have a question about weddings; my spouse and I just got married, and we're still technically at the wedding, at the stage where we're spending Organizing on guests. I've sent a few invitations out to friends, but some have yet to respond, and I feel as though I'm wasting time still at the wedding when there's no one left I want to invite. If I end the wedding, will the friends I've sent invites to still be able to accept them?

You can go ahead and wrap up your wedding, and your friends will still be able to attend :0)

How do you control suspicion once your criminal record is beyond 4?

  • With difficultly. Jokes aside, the best ways are the opportunity cards that show up with some suspicion.

  • Or you can use Opportunism in Spite. There is an option that reduces suspicion which turns up when your Airs are 0-25

My ambition is light finger, and I'm at the point where is requested that I go to
a state of some confusion. Howewer, I possess several memory of lights, and it seems that owning these will send me to the mirror-marches. Do i have to sell my memories of lights? Or from the mirror marches i can acces a state of some confusion? What do you reccomend?
Go through the nightmare mirror in the carnival(not the one that requires the memories of lights, of course, the one that just requires a point of nightmares).
