Being a 50 pence item, it's difficult to get in bulk efficiently. However, if you have a large amount of any other 50 pence item, you can side convert them to incendiary gossip. You need 50 of any of the items at the top of this page and one of the options when using them will be the side conversion (ex: 50 Mysteries of the Elder Continent -> 51 Scraps of Incendiary Gossip, or Visions of the Surface -> Mysteries of the Elder Continent -> Scrap of Incendiary Gossip, etc).
Alternatively, if you have a large amount of proscribed material or inklings of identity, you can up convert those to Scraps of Incendiary Gossip. You'd need quite a lot though.
Thank you I'll be laboring away at it! edited by absinthey on 2/11/2017

Failbetter didn't mention knife and candle at all since the season ended so we have no idea when it will come back.

Here's a silly question. Is the only route to the Tomb Colonies that of the exile caused by too much Scandal? Or can you get to the Tomb Colonies by simply, you know, sailing there? I mean, after all, Venderbight is a physical place, not all that far from Fallen London. My character has a zubmarine, but like much in her life it is really just for show, and it has never left the warehouse it was built in. I suspect what the answer is, but you ought to be able to, my Sunless Sea character goes there all the time.

You actually can zail there if you follow the Nemesis ambition. Otherwise...nope, your only option is too much Scandal.

It's not the same Tomb Colony for Nemesis but that one is reached by zailing.
If you need to go to the Tomb Colonies for an in-game reason you need to get exiled.

Sorry RL means I am not a very active player at the moment. No social actions unless you are prepared to wait and definitely no sparring or other mult-action things.
No Calling Cards or boxed cats please. Will take dupes on the affluent photographers. Other social invitations welcome. Parabolan Kittens usually available, send me an in-game social action saying you want one and I will get one to you as soon as possible.

Ha! Ha! Then getting jaked up in public at the carnival it is then! Mrs. Plenty still hasn't forgiven me for the mess I left last time. Ah, drunkenly knocking policemen's helmets off. What fun!

Really? I thought it said "To Venderbright". It's been a while since I played this content so you are most likely right, however.

From a narrative perspective, it's probably the same colony since it has the same name (Venderbight).
However, mechanically it's very different. There are different storylets and cards based on whether you are sent there for exile or sailed there in disguise during Ambition: Nemesis. I don't think there's any overlap, so we might as well treat these as two different locations (perhaps as an exile you are only allowed into certain sections of the colony).

Want a sip of Hesperidean Cider? Send me a request in-game. Here's an_ocelot's guide how. (Most social actions are welcome. Please no requests to Loiter Suspiciously and no investigations of the Affluent Photographer)

It might be Venderbight but you don't get the normal exiled to the Tomb Colonies things when you go for the Nemesis ambition. It is a very long time since my Nemesis alt went there as well.

Is anyone else having issues with: "An Incident: Watch Millicent tattoo a pale visitor"?
I thought maybe there was a server issue, until I tried other actions - changing lodgings, to try and get a certain card, and entreating her to return - and those worked fine . . . struggling to get that option to work at all, but it's only that option :-S

Me and another person have mentioned this in the feast thread, since a report has been sent it will be fixed soon.
