1. How to make lots of echos for the least actions? For mid lower level players for Fallen London?
2. The Gift(fate) is good?
3. What association did you choose?
4. Key to a Handsome Townhouse is worth it? I know it is used for choosing associations, but otherwise what is good for?

1. Rush to being a POSI; you'll get a decent amount of money from the Making your Name stories, and once you're a POSI you have the Unfinished Business storylets which made a decent mid level grind.

4. In my opinion, no. It's necessary to get either an Orphanage or a Salon, both of which have little perks, but the Frequent frequency card it puts into your deck is mostly worthless. Its main purpose is letting you invest a lot of echos into your salon/orphanage in order to get making waves extremely quickly and on demand. If you spend fate on things, the Orphanage is necessary for one of the best companions, too.

Once you get a quality over 100, a woman will come to help you to become a person of some importance

Get an entry in Slowcake's exceptionals, a fair amount of making waves, and then wait for the Amaneusis card to show up

Hi! I have a question about conflict cards. I've been sitting on 6 Tomb-Colonist favours and the Society/Tomb-Colonist conflict card for a week-or-so. I can handle RNG (IT'S NOT MEANT AS A DARE!!!) but I just want to know if there's a script in place that prohibits us from gaining further favour cards until we've made our choice (and taken the hit) in the conflict card. Is there?

No, but since there's only one TC favour card, the RNG can really mess with you.

I started working on a classic short story, but realised too late that it will be a long process and I need to leave London soon. I'm quite sure that setting sail does not reset Potential, but I'd like to get confirmation just in case. So, did someone check this?

Hey there! Newish player here and didn't know where else in the forum to direct my question.

Is 'An Exceptional Story: The Century Exhibition' only for folk who subscribe to the game? I feel like I'm spending lots of actions and getting nowhere. I haven't got a clue what I should be doing.

Apologies if this question has been asked many times already.

    Many thanks!

Technically, that falls under the "wait for the card to show up", it won't appear unless you have POSI status. However, it will show up regardless of your ownership of slowcake's exceptionals and making waves.

How do I get Hedonist to 8? I'm at 7 now and most options that raise it are capped way too low. I really want those second chances on the Give a Gift cardBig Grin

I'd swear there's at least one option that'll suffice in the tomb colonies. I can't say which one it is, or if there's a better option, sorry!

Demonstrate all the dances at the ball for +3 hedonist cp. If you have the artist's acquaintance, write a very personal response to his letter. Same idea with the artist's model, though her option is on a different card, and called I replied fondly. "As it should be" on a letter from comtessa's father. Take full advantage of the situation on "a moment of joy" is as well. I'm sure there's more options, but those are the first ones I found.

Continuing to edit it: Amoung the dead, invest in soaps. When you meet the tomb lion, torment it by feeding it coral. When the lamentable tomb colonist asks you to read tennyson, abandon the matter. Ignore the remnants of the tomb colonies.Accept the unexpected advances. Accept the Colonist candle made with unorthodox technologies.

Pretty sure that's the full list, and it's a long one. One trip will more than suffice, I think.

I figured it'd be good to point it out, so no non POSIs sat around with their making waves and slowcake's waiting for the card to show.

Hi everyone! I have a few question about profession.
I am currently a pickpocket and my shadowy is 68. When Tth comes (in about 2 days for me), will I gain the full reward of +250 CP in shadowy, or will it stop at 70?

And if I change my profession now, do I have to wait another week for my reward or just two days?

As long as your Shadowy is under 70, you'll get the full 250 CP boost.

You can change your profession at anytime (either before or after TTH arrives). TTH gives you a Professional Perk. Your profession is only making an impact once you collect your professional reward. (i.e. you can receive TTH, then change your profession, and then collect the rewards associated with your new profession).
