Do any veterans of Fallen London know a reccomended dangerous level for hunting the vake? I'm currently at around 100 in dangerous and 60 in watchful, should I attack the vake?

You're perfectly good to go. Go and try attacking the Vake. Couldn't hurt to try. At least, not too much.
(i assume i'm not telling you news in pointing out that the worst that could happen is you getting yourself killed dead - which in turn won't get worse than causing you taking inconvenient absence without leave from social life for a couple of days  )

One note - you may be offered the chance to use your Half-Wild Mandrake. I would highly recommend that you don't. At Dangerous +6, it's one of the best Dangerous companions for quite a while, and you can't get another if you use it. (Unless you pay Fate to restart the Ambition, that is.)

I meant that the Hearts Desire monkey doesn't add a menace card unlike the one you can buy in the Bazaar, sorry for the confusion here.
