Cartography uses Renown now?

For the longest time, I thought the Cartography conversions required Docks favors to convert up, but doing it just now they only need Renown. Elder and Rag Trade conversions still need favors from their respective faction. Did I misunderstand this whole time or was this recently changed?

I can't tell you when it changed, but I can tell you with ~90% certainty that it changed.

It only required renown during the last fruits of the Zee. It left me hopeful that most other upconversions would use renown instead of favors. I gathered hundreds of partial maps attempting to see the rare success. This would not have worked during the festival if I needed to keep going back for more favors.

Maintaining a controlling interest in my soul requires a pretty constant negotiation between the various shareholder interests. Thankfully the Fingerkings 23% control makes a pretty good foil to unite the other factions enough to get to 51%.

Yeah, conversions don't work well with the Favors system. At that point it's not worth using a favor when you could just mass convert stuff for instance. The renown option is a nice fix. Maybe not the most fully balanced, but we should assume it's a test in this case. See maybe how more likely players are to choose that compared to choosing the Favors conversions

I'd personally prefer if both are available, so people get an advantage for building renown without feeling like they have to.
