Question: Is any of the renown items a companion? Trying to figure out if it's worth even bothering.

The renown companions are the 1st tier docks, 2nd tier rubbery, 3 tier colonist and criminals. Unfortunately none of the Urchins ones are companions.

As a note, giving away the grubby kitten for 1 favor, when it now COSTS 1 favor to get, not a reliable gain.

Actually, the storylet doesn't *give* the Kitten away. The text just asks you to "loan" it. At first, I thought that would mean that doing the storylet would start a living story where you'd be without the Kitten for a little while, but in fact the Kitten stays put in your inventory and you just get a favor.

"Pursue a Scheme: offer some Urchins a place in your Orphanage" requires 5 favors.

Would have thought you're the one doing Them a favor, but sure smile

Thanks everyone - and pardon my obviously dumb errors while typing in a hurry. I'll make the changes as soon as I get to a proper keyboard.

The compromise solution on the Hell/Urchins conflict card requires Subtle 8 - any advice on how to get there?

Keeping it Bloodless on the Wilmot's End carousel then turning in the dramatic tension for Collections of curiosities is quite profitable if you're not in a terrible hurry to bump up your subtle.

Wiwo. Almost certainly not a squid in a cunningly tailored suit. Surely.

Care for some cider? Here's how to ask me for some. Strange pranks strongly preferred.

Care to pet a Heptagoat? Too bad. It doesn't do anything (probably).

I'm a Correspondent and would be delighted to lecture at your orphanage.

I think this hasn't been mentioned yet: The Grubby Urchin card now also gives a Favour at the cost of two Tales of Terror!!

By my count we are now up to 7 cards that are always available, 2 that are temporarily available and 1 (or 2?) non-card sources that are fate-locked (details).

Are you sure you didn't pick the incorrect option? It didn't cost me anything when I got it earlier today.

Maybe the option has been adjusted? It definitly cost me 2 ToT, same as the Favour on the Winsome Urchin card costs 2 Memories of Distant Shores.

That is precisely what I wrote.

I'm working on accumulating the favours for the same info on Sabotaging the cannon on the docks/urchins card. If somebody else already has, then let me know and I'll update the wiki and put those favours towards renown instead.

My math might be completely off here, but doesn't this mean that it's more profitable to cash in with 7 Favours, and not 5? (after all, the rewards scale with the number of Favours, so you save actions by using more Favours at once).

Oh dear ... you are right. I think I forgot to factor in the Identity Uncovered or something. I doesn't actually matter if you paid for the Favours or not, the 6th and 7th Favour are more valuable than the first five. The overall EPA-ratio is still higher if you didn't pay anything, obviously.

Thanks for pointing that out!

Can not even a sip of Cider reach them?

I'm afraid not. It wouldn't help terribly much anyways, since it's the cider DREAMS cards that actually do most of the healing. Accepting the sip only heals 1CP of wounds.

I'd love to know how many urchins (both kind) have been BOUGHT these past few days. As well as monkeys and rookery passwords. It all just feels a bit obscene... the whole community rushing out to PURCHASE their very own urchin favour cows.

Also, why aren't there any items and companions (apart from the Watchmaker Hill pets) that help grind other kinds of favours? (...Are there any?)

Oh right, I misremembered the Orphan as a Winsome Urchin. And I did BUY the henchman and the accomplice just to get the new Hallowmas companions. All right, time to increase my stable again.
It's sick...

Probably doubles. Infinite deck areas are the only ones that completely refill, iirc.

If that card lies about its frequency (like the "Valuable Secrets" card in Ladybones Road does), it could be a very good source indeed.

Valuable Secrets claims to have infrequent frequency but my experience pegs it at more like Ubiquitous. I've spent something like 7000 whispered hints on it in ~4 months, which implies hundreds of draws, when standard frequency cards like faction ones I've drawn maybe a hundred or two.

Having just tested this, I drew the card 3 times just since last night. It's certainly more frequent than infrequent!

I own a Heptagoat and somehow have never entered the Mind of a Dead God before.

Could someone be so kind as to help me with this? I haven't seen the Stormy-eyed dream card in months.

You can increase your Stormy Eyed quality without the card at Mutton Island by using the storylet "I bid the Wind speak".

Entering the Mind of a Dead God happens when your Stormy Eyed quality is 19 AND your "What the Thunder Said" dream quality is at least 15. None of that has anything to do with your Heptagoat, though I'm sure impressed by your drive and grind efficiency! What grind/s did you use to earn the Echoes to acquire all the necessary goats?

There should be a pinned storylet everywhere in London. You might need to scroll down the page to see it.

Sorry RL means I am not a very active player at the moment. No social actions unless you are prepared to wait and definitely no sparring or other mult-action things.

No Calling Cards or boxed cats please. Will take dupes on the affluent photographers. Other social invitations welcome. Parabolan Kittens usually available, send me an in-game social action saying you want one and I will get one to you as soon as possible.
