so, I just played the fate-locked option of the Decommissioned Steamer. what a fantastic text! but it did leave me wondering:
you get connected: the masters. is it uncapped? does that mean that, with a little bit of time and a lot of fate, someone could raise their connection to the masters through it? it seems almost tempting.
If you're feeling (very) patient, you can always Tell the Interpreter of Dreams about Your Dreams of Ice and Fire. Admittedly, it's a rare success on an already uncommon opp card, but it's a decent nightmares cure on average, so there's not much downside apart from the pace of progress.

Dears, please help: I'm thoroughly lost in my dreams. I have What the Thunder Said at 21 and Stormy-Eyed at 10. What shall I do in order to advance Stormy-Eyed and eventually go away with the thunder?

Note that getting to the place the second time is exactly as hard as getting there the first time. Keep that in mind if you have any plans related to the recent updates regarding Urchins.

Greetings, delicious friends.
I'm now making my name at the Tier 2 locations. That is, romance at the Court, the Black Ribbon duels, the Forgotten Quarter expeditions, and the burglaries in the Flit. They're all pretty much the same in terms of gameplay: you grind your progress to a certain amount, then you choose your target, and then you strike. Thing is, in the Flit every grinding option costs three full actions, which is a lot. Shadowy is my weakest stat, so they are three-action very chancy options, too. I guess I can fix that by quitting my Trickster profession and downshifting to a Pickpocket, but that will take time and will hardly be enough. It doesn't fix the fact that they're all three-action, either. How is that even balance? Am I overlooking something?
Another question: is there any way to get to the Empress' Court without having to spend an action every single time just to move there? It's rather unnerving. edited by Melitaele on 1/19/2017

No way to get to the Empress' Court without spending an action, I'm afraid.
As for raising your shadowy, you might consider investing in some shadowy-boosting equipment and/or spending some actions accumulating Hastily Scrawled Warning Notes and then spending them 5 at a time for pure shadowy-boosting.

Are the burglaries meant to be harder then other making-your-names, then? Or is that three-action feature compensated somehow? As for Hastily Scrawled Warning Notes (and other Second Chances), well, that is how I use them. Are there any other uses, though? I can see those checkboxes, "spend to ensure a second chance", but somehow they do not react to clicking on them. Is it meant this way?

There's something wrong if you are unable to expend Second Chances in their intended way. However, if you need more Hastily Scrawled Warning Notes, feel free to spam my Inbox and I'll return the favor since each side gets different results.

It should be fixed now, if not simply copy and paste it into the address bar.

The Cave of the Nadir, you need to draw the Catafalquerie card. It's a bit hit or miss. I am still waiting for that card, as it has not popped up for me the last five times I was in there.

@ochrasy Yes, the connected gain on the option of the Decommissioned Steamer is uncapped. In contrast, Tell the Interpreter of Dreams about Your Dreams of Ice and Fire IS capped.

Yes, it tends to turn up exactly when you -don't- need it, like when it's not Christmas season and you have no ToL at all. Good luck pleasing the RNG gods!

Any other advice for using my Pails?

Any other advice for using my Pails? Assuming you DON'T want a noman, or to see the text of the options, the most profitable use for your buckets would be buying soothe and cooper long-boxes, I think? It's only either 50 echoes and 3 dock favors or 62.5 echoes in inklings of identity, but it's... better than nothing if you still have 5 pails and nothing to do with them.

It's 62.5E in Identities Uncovered, in fact. Which is quite nice because they're one of the limiting reagents for the Fidgeting Writer and are otherwise difficult to come by in quantity without dipping into low EPA actions.

At worst, when the pails melt each of them becomes a Direful Reflection, which is not too bad either.

How is them paying me bringing about their horrible future?
