Problem with Time the Healer?

Very, very, very, very, very late.

Same here. It's been later than usual for a few weeks actually; over the course of a month mine has gone all the way from Friday evening to Monday morning, and it didn't show up for me today yet and it's almost evening where I am.

It's actually starting to worry me . . .

I think we're supposed to get four 'Snowbound!' at this time of year? If there's much more of a delay, it means the season will be over and I'll have missed out on an opportunity to have gotten in one last item . . . I'm hoping - if we are supposed to get four such snowbound events - they'll give us an extra day or so to get it, so (even if our TTH falls outside the season) we won't lose out on the item.

Edit: I forgot today was a bank holiday . . . I'll guess we'll find out tomorrow, when FBG is back in the office XD

How high can you raise a stat using Notability? Can you only raise it up to 215? Or is it potentially possible to raise it up to 250?

Just 215, because you can raise it to 200+Notability, and 15 is the highest Notability.

Same for me, but I was only expecting it about 12 hours ago, so maybe not as late as it is for some.
I also stopped getting email notifications when stuff happens yesterday, but none of my settings have changed. No idea if related.

In the past, server issues that delayed TtH also delayed emails for in-game events. When the server issues were fixed, all the delayed emails were sent out iirc.

TtH is about 16 hours late for me now, if I'm counting right. Hopefully the new time will be in the evening - early morning has caused issues like missing the free Snowbound at the beginning of the event upset

I finished secrets framed in gold recently (Even the final part in the side streets) and have just realized...

I don't know what I did it all for. I don't mean this as a metaphor, or some existential crisis. I mean...that thanks to the way the story is framed (ha!) as opportunity cards, I never got a coherent picture (Ha!) of what the painting said.

Could someone PM me, pretty please, and put my fevered mind to rest about this?

There's more than one devil. There are a few ways. You can sell your soul in the Devil card around christmas (Now), you can become intimate with a devil and let them convince you, or you can complete the soul trade as a spirifer, and you can draw a specific card that lets you sell your soul very profitably.

You just need to finish Soul Trade to get the lovely card which is a City-Vices; which side you pick doesn't matter.

Perfect, thanks. I'd built up a nice Casing 27 so cashing it out for connections works out nicely.

Is there ever a resolution to the whole "War of Assassins" thing? Or is its purpose merely for farming those hard-to-get items you need for the various POSI item grinds in the Bazaar side-streets?

The latter. It is indefinitely repeatable, the only quality it builds up is Dramatic Tension, and the only thing that takes Dramatic Tension is the POSI items. It doesn't have an associated narrative the way that e.g. Affair of the Box does.

Robin, the Wicket closes at Jan 30 or 31, so time enough.

But I too thought they would pin the Sacks cards today... I don't feel like hunting through my deck for them. Guess it'll happen next week or so.

You can get a noman and teach it your quirks. If you get it up to 15 Noman Knows, it'll tell you a 300 echo secret.

No, like other lodgings, the associated item is permanent and can be used to move back in if you move out.

If you move to your 5-card lodging, however, you will not longer be at a Remote Address and will therefore receive all City Vices cards, in case that's what you mean.

You either get a peaceful life in the Shell with 3 cards, or many cards but the perils of city living!

I have a Dreadful Surmise in my inventory that definitely wasn't there in mid-December, and I have no memory of getting it. Was it from the Advent Calendar, from some part of the Christmas/Sacksmas stories that's not immediately visible in the wiki, from the January Exceptional story, or somewhere else?

Or is this something that happens if you have your phone in the exam room while you're having your festive seasonal EEG, like the wires in my hair drew this Surmise directly up out of my sleep spindles and into the app.

I've been cultivating an intimacy with devils because I'm a sucker for their gifts.
At this point, though, I'm not trying to sell my soul and I'd like them to stop cluttering up my deck (they seem to appear 1 out of 5 cards). I spent a little fate on the option that lets me hear them out and keep my soul, hoping that would progress me past the level where they keep hounding me for it, but alas, no such luck. I find myself again facing the leering eyes of A Serious Offer. Throwing him out just starts the carousel over, should I risk hearing him out this time to get them off my back? Disappointed that the fate purchase seems to have been wasted.
Thanks!

You need to sell your soul, or tank your connect hell and the intimacy of devils to get it out of your deck.

The Wiki is based on the latest info the community has accumulated last year. NiteBrite's guide was written a year before that, so the numbers are based on what we experienced two years ago.

There's no info yet from this year as to the rate of Nomen decay.

About Noman Friend
Wiki says that Time the Healer will take between 24-95 nomans friend, some other sources (the curious clothier's guide) puts that range 24-70. What is actually range?

Nobody knows for sure what the range will be. I believe Nitebrite's guide was based on data gathered the year before last and that the wiki is more current. Last year TTH took significantly bigger chunks than anyone had experience the year before - after a general panic & vocal displeasure from the marathon runners, it emerged that the rate of loss had been deliberately increased in order to preserve the prestige of conpleting the trial. The devs generously toned it down a bit, but I would definitely assume that you will be dealing with bigger maximum losses at least as high as 95.

So, I got all the lodgings I could from the Wicket, and I still have ToL 4 left. The question is - do I get another pail, get it to 7, and go for a tear in Nadir, or is there another option? I'm not really ready for a Noman, I think, it's probably too highly emotional for me right now, at least from what I'm seeing about it.

You can still go for the Noman and do the regular story. The price is still 3 ToL at the moment. The emotional part that people are worried about (me included) is keeping it alive till the Feast of the Exceptional Rose. That bit you can safely ignore. Unless you are referring to how moving the Noman story can be?
