If you fall too far behind, the cards become storylets, and the frequency of the cards increases as time goes by. (Also wow, the RNG hates you, they already are more frequent than normal cards) edited by suinicide on 12/29/2016

To be precise, according to the wiki: Occurs with Abundant Frequency (5 x as common as Standard) Occurs with Ubiquitous Frequency (10 x as common) two days after it becomes available
So you've just had bad luck, but falling more than two days behind does seem like it'd require absolutely abysmal luck. So I wouldn't worry too much!

What is the lore-wise most profitable way to sell my soul? (If that is fate-locked, please hint it as well, or just PM me, thank you!)

Do we knows yet the mathematical equations for converting "Connected:" to Renown and Favours?

1. Clubs. I heard that there are 2. What should I choose ? The Parthenaeum or The Young Stag Club? 2. Incarnadine Fur Robe what story gets the item? Thanks and Happy New Year.

1) its personal choice. Young stages gives more money, with a luck check, or connections.Parthaneaum gives whispered hints or menace reduction. Everything else is about equal.
2) you get the fur robe when you have the option to clear your lodgings of "snowbound". Costs 30 fate, and can be used under "explore the festive season." Any option there will get you a unique item.

Did the Urchins rework get pushed back until sometime next year? I thought I heard they had it planned for before the end of December, but it looks like it may have been delayed a bit longer.

I believe they decided to wait till after Christmas stuff was over. I think that's understandable (and it gives you more time to grind that Urchin connection!).

I was going through my items to sell some excess, and remembered I still had my Rat of Glory. Is there any disadvantage to trading it for a Scuttering Squad? That being, any real reason to hold onto it for a story or for the Searing Enigmas?

Hi all. I have been wondering for quite a while what the real benefit of having a high Connected: The Masters really is... I'm at 3 now and it looks like I can easily get 4 by the end of the Twelve Days, but is there really a major benefit to pushing this? In my (admittedly limited) research I can't find much use for it beyond the first couple levels; just a few instances where it would be convenient to have. My initial reaction was if it is this hard to come by it must be useful, but I can't seem to find what that would be. Not asking for a complete breakdown or anything, just how hard one should keep pushing it past the early levels.

(Don't; I don't need people making seeking easier for me) There's are no catches for trading it for a scuttering squad, which would cost 500 echoes otherwise. It's 1 rat for one Scuttering Squad, so if you want one, go for it. Of course, having a Midnight Matriarch and a Scuttering Squad at the same time doesn't work well. If you don't want a squad, the enigmas can theoretically get you some money (the scuttering squad is pretty much useless for money as it only sells for 10 echoes) although it's a really high watchful challenge. Still, since you can get anywhere from ~64-450 echoes from it, it might be worth it. You could hold onto it just for fun. At the moment I don't think there are any stories from keeping it, seeing as BOOM! has been retired (and you shouldn't be seeking anyway). Or you could send it to a dev as a late Ratmass gift. (Or you could help my seeker get her last few enigmas... Don't though )

It's hard enough to get that you might as well have as much as possible on hand in case you do find a use for it later.

There is no recorded case of a Rat of Glory activating outside of the option to light it. (That includes the option to send it to another player, despite the game instructions.) Rats of Glory have only been known to activate spontaneously in the BOOM! event which is SMEN exclusive, now retired, and a joke.

A Different question now. I just got The Neath's Mysteries in my opportunity deck again, and this time am wondering what is the point of having Touched by the Fingerwork? Fallen Cities leads to the Mr Pages' Reliables List, Eyes of Icarus to Playing with Broken Toys, and Gates of the Garden to the Dilmun Club. But what does Fingerwork lead to? edited by Victor Archibald Xander on 1/2/2017

Mostly it leads to making progress as a visitor in the Clay Quarters (tied to the Finding a Heiress story line).
(Of course, it also unlocks the most profitable option on The Neath's Mysteries card...:-) )

Is Time the Healer/Snowbound insanely late for anyone else? I don't know whether it's best to put in an email to support or not . . . I'm concerned, as I really don't want to miss out on my item from the Masters, trying to get as many as possible this year :-/
