It will halve either hedonist or austere, but nothing else. There aren't any permanent problems for the menace states besides jail. But the game does apparently track the number of times you died, so something could happen with that.

The game doesn't count how many times you die, it only counts how much chess you played with the Boatman(and the downside is that the challenge gets harder and harder until the risk simply isn't worth it).

I didn't mean that, I mean I heard there's an unseen quality counting how many times you've died.

NiteBrite's guide on that is here.

I think I remember one on the forum, but this will do nicely. Thank you!

I have no idea. It was some old forum thread, but I honestly can't be more specific or even tell you if its true. (It wasn't a dev who posted it, it was someone else). But I thought I may as well bring it up

Sorry, I know everyone and their dog keeps asking this - but are there any updates on the option to send a box of 100 Fate to an acquaintance? I was hoping to be able to give a (real-life) friend a Christmas gift this way.

Last I saw a few days ago, no, it's still Impossible.

Does anyone know why when I visit bluejacket I can't speak to the wife or the butler (For some reason my coffin and ironclast fate stats are too high?)

As far as I'm aware, depending on your choices in previous stories, you can either talk to the Wife and the Butler or the Iconoclast and Harris - some of the conversations are mutually exclusive.

"Moves in the Great Game."

I acquired one of these yesterday. That's a Sunless Sea quality, and as far as I can see, has no use in Fallen London. Are they taking the mickey, or is there a way to get it to my Sunless Sea character? I don't mind if they're just having a bit of fun with us, but I am curious to find out if anyone knows of an actual use for it.

There are a number of Sunless Sea items in the game (Solacefruit, Deep-Zee Catch, Vital Intelligence, to name three off the top of my head) that can be rarely obtained from certain actions in Fallen London. There's no way to transfer the items over to Sunless Sea, and as of yet they have no use (although they may do one day). They're just a bit of fun cross-over, and some people collect them.

For how long can you delay from playing Mr Sacks cards? I've seen it mentioned elsewhere, but I cannot find it now.

Once you've played the first, you can delay forever. This does not delay the wicket though.

Warming tears of the bazaar will only take the tears away if I have bad luck, right? So if I was lucky enough, I could just do it until I'm at 10 Taste forever? Am I able to do it outside of christmas to keep my Taste of Lacre up for other reasons? (Mostly the one option on Catafalquerie in the Nadir)
