So, I just hit Nightmares 10 (-2 from my blingstick + fish, so 8) with 182 Memories of Light in my inventory... and was promptly kicked into the Royal Beth, not the Mirror-Marches as I'd expected. Is there an additional requirement to head to the Marches instead of the State that I'm not aware of, beyond having at least 1 Memory of Light in my inventory? It'd be nice to know in advance of next time, as this is basically losing me weeks-months of progress in any of my dreams which are above softcaps. Which is unfortunate.

As far as I'm aware, you should have gone to the mirror marches. The only requirement that I've noticed is 1 memory of light, cross-referenced with the wiki. I remember seeing someone on here saying you need at least a CP of Is Someone There?, but I'm certain I've gone to the marches without any a few times. The wiki also doesn't say anything about it. Perhaps it was an old requirement or something. In any case, I'd report it as a bug if I were you. Those dreams take forever to level. I've been playing for nigh on a year, and the only one I have above 10 is What the Thunder Said. Unless, of course, if there is some requirement that someone else brings to our attention, in which case I wouldn't report it!

Yeah, I have IST12 so even if that is a requirement, I definitely meet it.

I'd report it then. Losing all those dreams would be horrible. Edit: Although the marches will still substantially ding or completely wipe IST (can't remember which), so they still aren't the greatest. It's still greatly preferable to destroying all the dreams, though. edited by Pumpkinhead on 11/29/2016

You just lose 10 CP of *Is Someone There* upon leaving the Mirror-Marches.
Leaving the Royal Beth costs 5 CP of *every* dream quality. It's worse than the Marches but not the end of the world. edited by rahv7 on 11/29/2016

Ah, nice to know that it's not nearly as bad as I thought, then! I haven't been to the Royal Beth for some time; back when I was there, the 5CP loss must have cleared or mostly cleared my tiny buildup of dream CPs.

Oh good! I'd like to see the Royal Beth but didn't want to give up my dreams.

There are some instances that kick you straight into the Royal Beth, no matter your MoL. I only know about one: Losing the challenge when Robbing the Bazaar. Is it possible you were doing something like that?

This happened to me as well a while back, I distinctly remember being confused as to why I wasn't put into the Mirror-Marches even when I had memories of light.

In case anyone is wondering, the solution: SMEN is a jerk, and SMEN's "Carnival" doubly so.
