Sounds about fair, yes.
I mean, they do have huge signs all over the place that Seeking the Name will cost you dearly. I'd consider losing my ship to be a fair price.
It's rather what I expect... though I hope that means they won't do it.
If they do, though, I certainly hope they allow us to get back the same ship without further investment of fate for those of us with fate cost ships. I'd be quite frustrated if the quest cost me real world money.
Another possible deterrent I am hoping to avoid is permanent or semi-permanent stat cap reductions... but still I'd go NORTH.
