Well, it seems like the game is a bit buggy lately(as seen in another thread) so it may be fixed eventually, till then you can tag any storylet with making waves as a requirement as a plan to see your making waves there.
Thank you for the suggestion, but I am a luddite with a serious Pauli effect (that negatively affects me in real life as well) and do not know how to go about what you propose. Could you please tell me how to do what you suggest in such a way that even a baby can understand? Many thanks in advance.

Wait for this card to appear, when you get the card, go on it, now go over the http://fallenlondon.wikia.com/wiki/%22I_deserve_a_more_emphatic_type-face,_at_the_very_least.%22 option, and at the top of the option there should be a little flag like symbol, when you hover over it, it will turn red, then click on it and the option should appear in your "Plans" tab right next to "fate" and "help", now you can go over to the plans section and check the requirements for the options which should show how much making waves you have(and for this option, how many you need to go over to the next point of notability too).
edit:no idea why the first link is broken, but if you go on it it will show you an option to get to the actual card on the wiki so it isn't such a big deal. edited by The Master on 10/5/2016 edited by The Master on 10/5/2016

A mood is essentially necessary to get Renown up to 150. With Criminals, at least, and I believe with any faction.

Well, if getting renown to 150 was possible, yeah, a mood would probaly be necessary(but yes, a mood is currently required to get them all as far as possible).

I'm 1 searing enigma away from being ready to try for an impossible theorem - it's been suggested that I wait for the elusive mood card to boost watchful high enough to guarantee success, but i don't know if I'm patient enough for that - so here's my question: if I just take a fly at it, will I lose my enigmas if I fail? I'm willing to beat my head against a wall a few times for a chance at success, but not at the expense of losing several months of grinding. right now my watchful is 198.

I believe you only lose 1 Enigma upon a failure, but since I haven't tried myself I'm not completely sure.

Apparently you lose 1 Enigma and 100 echoes, according to the wiki.

hmmm. with only a 29% chance of success for the theorem and a good chunk of time investment, i may have to try and reign in the urge to go for it. You know, after trying at least once. Or twice. Three times at the most....

So, perhaps a silly question. I found a Set of Correspondence Stones whilst on an expedition in the Forgotten Quarter and...er...lost them, somehow. Is there a way to find another set? Do I go on expeditions and hope for the best? do I really need them? I mean, I enjoy nightmares as much as the next person, but does having a set open up more avenues than not having a set? I didn't have them for long, just managed to open a path to the Universities, so I didn't get much of a chance to see. Thanks!

IIRC, the correspondence stones do little- perhaps not nothing, but little- I believe you can get the same pair back at the university too. It's card-based, though, and expensive. 87.5 echoes in muscaria brandy.

You may have lost them to the devil Virginia. She comes after them and there's a few ways to lose them to her (or hide them so neither of you have them).
As far as I know, though, the Stones are not used for anything after your initial investigations into the Correspondence, so you should not feel a particular rush to get them back.

Also happy to help with nightmares, send sips of Cider, and plant battle.

The Veteran Privy Counsellor wants me to write a scandalous opera, but I don't want to get exiled from court yet, bc I'm grinding SotC there. If I refuse him now, will I'll be able to write that opera later?

It's not going to be a "my offer stands", it's going to be a "I'll bug you every X plays about this". So you'll need to keep turning them down.

Thanks for the help everyone -- I decided to risk an enigma and make a go at the theorem, and against all possible odds, it's now displayed proudly on my mantle. I'm beaming. And probably on fire.

Is it possible to tell if someone is a POSI by looking at their profile?

Your main for example has all possible POSI items, while your alt Alice Tintin hasn't got any - she's therefore very probably not a POSI, or has only just become one! edited by phryne on 10/7/2016

I have another question. Though I've already discovered the route to the Cave of the Nadir, I seem to have somehow opened The Missionary and the Firebrand storyline again. Is there any benefit to following through with the story again?
