Does anyone know how to get rid of this card? It started popping up in my deck about a week or two ago, and I've got no idea why.

If you have "Honoured with a statue" under Accomplishments, then you chose the ending that gets rid of the card.

I sided with the constables rather than Mr. spices. This provided no statue.

I'm pretty sure siding with the constables is what gets you the statue. I'm not sure what's going on, but maybe someone else knows.
Edit: ah, I forgot siding with the constables is not the same thing as burning it down.

There's a critical choice you make close to the end of the story. You can either destroy the source, getting rid of Jack-of-Smiles for good, or you can find out who is responsible for him, gaining knowledge instead. Only the former will have you honored with a statue.
