I have 60 supplies, and someone who will give me an eyeless skull. I'm thinking of getting 64 supplies or more, is this a good idea, or should I just go with 60?

Personally, I'd go for a full 99/100, because that maximizes your odds of success. better to have to go on one or two expeditions to get a use out of excess, rather than waste 30 actions and 60 echoes minimum. (assuming flawless luck with the 200 whispered secret action.)

If you are unlucky you can meet 2 different rivals so I would recommend at least 80 expedition supplies if you take an option with no chance of failure. Of course if you take risky challenges on the 2 or 3 supply options you will need more.
So it does depend on how watchful you are but I would recommend taking more supplies than you need, the full 100 if you can. If you have any left at the end you can use them on other expeditions but not having enough can scupper your chances.

Sorry RL means I am not a very active player at the moment. No social actions unless you are prepared to wait and definitely no sparring or other mult-action things.
No Calling Cards or boxed cats please. Will take dupes on the affluent photographers. Other social invitations welcome. Parabolan Kittens usually available, send me an in-game social action saying you want one and I will get one to you as soon as possible.

Since you only lose Expedition Supplies by using them up, you may as well cap it out at 100.
