It can be hard finding people willing to be betrayed for SMEN.
In this thread, post if you are looking for, or willing to be betrayed. Mainly people willing to be betrayed, because thats much more needed. The seekers thank you for your clean mind!

I'm not betrayable or looking for a betrayal target, but having gone through this process not that long ago here is a quick betrayal FAQ.
Am I Eligible?
To be an eligible candidate for Betrayal you need to not already have any Seeking Mr Eaten's Name. You must also have Watchful 30 or higher.
What Happens to Me?
You will be sent a social action that begs you to reject it. Should you accept you will receive some Nightmares (about 8 CP) and one point of Seeking Mr Eaten's Name.
Can I stop Seeking After?
Yes. Once you are at Seeking Mr Eaten's Name 1 you will fairly quickly draw either An Alphabet of Scars or A Banner With a Strange Device. Pick the option that says you'll try to escape and you'll get a couple wounds and nightmares (about 2 CP of each) and be taken to what is essentially the Seeking consent form. Select the option to give up the search and you will lose all your Seeking Mr Eaten's Name and gain the Free of the Name quality.
Can I Be Betrayed More Than Once?
At the moment, yes. Free of the Name doesn't currently do anything so you can be betrayed, free yourself, and be betrayed again as much as you like. However, I wouldn't expect this to last forever and there's no telling when the change may come so if you think you might want to seek some day I wouldn't accept multiple betrayals. edited by An Individual on 8/11/2016

Scariest moment in FL: getting betrayed and leaving the quest on my alt. See "you no longer have any of this" for all the candles, and assume its for my main. Never understood why people said "you almost gave me a heart attack" before.

Six stains. Did any of you listened to me? Did you even cared? You keep telling me that there's some value in this. That you would discover some truth. That it's some kind of adventure, a painful story that you can safely enjoyed. Tell me, do you feel your rot inside? Does the smell bothers you at night? This is about hate. It's about a hate so deep it moves inside of you, hurting by eroding your inside, and so you pour more pain in it to the point where you can't breath but there is no panic because your lungs have given up a long time ago. That's the drowned man, that's the name. What part are you choosing to ignore? Yet you keep sending people in that direction, encouraging their self-destructive impulse, or worse are curious about an intriguing mystery, with many clues and a surprising climax. After that, it's too late. You have hurt yourself, permanently, in the quest to free you from yourself. It's doomed to fail. The pool only get bigger, and just looking at it fill it more. My hate is minuscule compare to every drop in the ocean. It's all futile. Would the world be better if it was empty?

Have you ever heard of the Tragedy of Mr. Eaten the Wise?
No, I suppose not. It's not a story the Masters or the Royals would tell you. It's a Second City legend.
Mr.Eaten wielded power comparable to a Master of the Bazaar, but unlike the Masters he was just and caring. Perhaps more importantly... it is said that he could use his power to keep a City that he loved... from dying. . "It would mean safety for London. Is it possible to learn this power?" Not from a Master of the Bazaar.
Anyway. He had become so powerful... that he only thing that he feared was to lose his power, which eventually of course he did. A winged villain revealed to three ancient humans everything he knew... and the ancient humans, to become the God-Eaters, ate Mr. Eaten the Wise, and killed him in the Well.
How ironic. He could use his power to save cities... but not himself. And so here we are, in the Neath.
(and this is my 77th post XD) edited by Netos Korlan on 2/22/2020

EDIT: FYI. My main, cathyr19355, has now been Betrayed 4 times and fought her way free 4 times. She now has Freed of the Name at about 3.5. Since I have a Seeking alt, I have no problem with multiple betrayals. If I succeed in making my main character irrevocably FRTN, that's a plus; if not, I can go on helping (for peculiar varieties of "help") my determinedly Seeking friends). Wow, I just got two betrayals in one day--and fought my way Free of the Name as to both! I'm now up to about 4.5 FRTN. :-) NOTE: I did not attempt to accept both betrayals at once; I waited to accept the second until I had played An Alphabet of Scars and freed myself from the first one. If An Individual turns out to be correct and cathyr19355 ever ceases to be betrayable, I will let everyone know. edited by cathyr19355 on 8/29/2016 edited by cathyr19355 on 9/20/2016 edited by cathyr19355 on 9/22/2016 edited by cathyr19355 on 9/22/2016

I think having a set of his own organs in a jar is something any respectable Psycho Bandit ought to strive for, so if any one of you fine people would be willing to betray Fleshy so he can get SMEN 1, that would be just lovely of you

You know, I think you two are right. I was betrayed for real by my mentor last year and got SMEN 1, which I then had to get rid of. I didn't know that would make me ineligible for future betrayals (I don't know much about SMEN).
Guess I'll have to raise it the hard way then. Thanks to both of you for trying to help me out

Your eyes settle on a bedraggled Correspondent carrying a jar filled with...pulsing organs? Before you can run away, he meets your gaze and immediately paces towards you. You try to run for the nearest exit, but the hallways seem to continue endlessly, the gas lamps and candles taking a crimson hue, and the madman drawing ever so closer...until you are safely at your lodgings. You sigh a breath of relief, only to realize that the Correspondent has slipped a note into your pocket stating:
"Greetings, my name is Den Blackwell and I am looking for six others such as yourself to teach about going NORTH."
"In your dreams, you must have seen it, the direction forever haunting your waking nightmares. The heads of the Baptist singing about North, the wells that speak of betrayal, the omnipresent number, and the candles that refuse to go extinguished. I can teach you about what it all means, and you will too know of the chains and scars borne by the Drowned Man: all you have to do is reply back. THE RECKONING WILL NOT BE POSTPONED INDEFINITELY!"
