That is the correct order of operations, and you should never lose notability if your last action was raising another point. Not sure what is going wrong, I'm afraid.
EDIT: I wrote in response to Orlon. I don't think @Anne Auclair is correct.

It certainly used to. Not sure why or when it changed since I don't have that Home Comfort, but I do remember it having that image. Assuming it was deliberate I would think that they changed it because the Mountain has a more significant connection to the Elder Continent than a volcano does.

If the text says it ought to be a volcano then you should send an email to support. It's been so long since I've seen it that I really can't remember how the tapestry is described beyond the item description.

Not sure if this is the place to ask about Fate-locked content, but I'm at the Iron Republic and I've reached Day CENSORED. There are two option, one normal and one Fate-locked, and both simply say "Censored". Can someone tell me what the difference is?

The volcano image was once the image for mysteries of the elder continent and primeval hint. Unless it's an obscure throwback image that they left in specifically for that item[1] those three have always shared an image, and you just had a bug where it looked like they didn't, not the other way around.[2] I suppose that my last post wasn't entirely clear- in short- that is the old image for everything that has the new mountain image now, in the same way that all X items got their images changed. You'll never see the rock with a bow mushroom images anywhere in the neath, for instance. all items with X image change as one. [look on the old wiki if you need proof of the volcano being the old image, or for the rock with a bow mushrooms for touching love stories.]
[1] which i do not believe is something they would do, as otherwise why would there be so many duplicates in the first place, they update the art often enough
[2]assuming you actually saw it in-game and aren't just looking at the wiki. in the latter case, it's just that the wiki's out of date on this matter.

Created account for this: Several times now, I have gotten an extra point of Notability just before the deadline, leaving my Making Waves equal to Notability. And then the week rolls over and my Notability drops. I thought the order of operations was to reduce Notability if MW was not high enough, then cut MW in half. But at least four times I've lost a Notability on the week when I thought I had enough MW to do the job.
Can anyone confirm or deny? Any other clues what I'm doing wrong? Thank you very much.

Had a free moment, did some research + math. Thought I should answer my own question rather than deleting, in case others are interested. I think the best way would be UB at Ladybones Road for Beeswax and doing the conversion that needs 100 for 1CP of AtLoN and no Connected: Revs loss. I might be wrong, though!

The Liberation of Night quality does nothing at this time.
Depending on your ambition you might meet April, and you can also meet July in the Exceptional Story Lost in Reflections. December is also present in some Destinies.

I'm already a POSI, with stats around 140-160 and only recently i've found out about Orphanage/Salon and 2.5-3.5 tier professions. What are other uneven ways/stories/opportunities that some people could know about only after they dig through forums, wikis and IRC or, generally, miss out?

Yes, see, this is what I was somewhat asking about, the options in the third coil no longer seem to be avaliable since I reached the fourth coil. I was asking if there is a way to get access to these, or options like tham, again.

Having reached the fourth coil, is there any method of attaining THIO that also gives loot? I know there existed one for a time earlier in the labyrinth, but it appears to have been temporary.
Is there any way to get it back, or any other method of gaining the quality while also gaining goods?

The gentleman on Mutton Island can convert Extraordinary Implications up to Uncanny Incunabula, but I was actually thinking of the implications you gain at the end of the carousel, and the lesser Mysteries items you get along the way. I haven't done the math, but it seems like a likely spot to grind Mysteries.
