What will happen to unused election resources?

After the 25th, what happens to all the election resources we don't trade in? Can we keep them as mementos? Will they be deleted? I assume they won't stick around and be useable next election.

Time the Healer will probably eat them. If we're lucky it might be like the lacre melting and give us a little something in return, but definitely nothing comparable in value to the current going rate.
