The Furious Prophet and I have met in secret. He and I were too nicely-opposed in character for me to resist. Also, I can't do eternal grim revenge without a bit of light relief. So we may feud a bit across both your accounts, if you're agreeable. If this sounds like a royal pain, and you'd rather we left each other alone, I'm sure we can patch things up.

Actually I find that hilarious. The Prophet is an absolute riot and I wish you the best in your feuding!

I suppose it wouldn't be forward to ask roughly why the Reverend is robbing the Embassy (I presume, with a certain rat-slinging gutter prophet)? Are all four of us going to end up in prison at once?

Heb is searching for a very important paper (shall we say a contract) that may or may not have fallen into the hands of a nun who may or may not have connections to the Embassy.

Hark meanwhile is trying to co-ordinate their deliberately failed robbery of the Brass Embassy with Vexpont and a daring raid on New Newgate with Harlocke, an old ally who is chasing their name but is determined to wait until elections are over before acting. The whole thing is a mad, confusing mess but it's possibly the most fun I've had in London for a long time!

Got it. Will wrap up the Embassy in a couple more moves this evening-ish and then leave you to your raid. You can get back to me when two different things are not in danger of happening to Hark at once, since I suspect that not even they can actually bilocate.

The Prophet can minister to my injuries with imprecations and tea. I suspect it may be Ratsang Souchong.

Currently locked from ending a Heist and I've already sent a bug report out. So if anyone is expecting social actions from me or plans to send me a social actions to roleplay, it maybe a while before I can do so.

Ended up fixing the problem on my own and I feel kind of stupid for sending in a bug report now. So I'll be able to send out social actions for anyone that's been waiting before.

Also, out of curiosity is there a policy or unspoken rule on writing short stories and drabbles here?

Not at all. I've written one or two (though only one remains), and so long as they're good, they're generally received fairly well. Why?

Considering writing more drabbles and debating if having it in a single thread or up in parts will cause less clutter. Mostly worried if I'd be causing clutter that way.

I am planning on fleshing out my character a little bit more, but I need some help from the considerable knowledge base that is the Fallen London community. My basic idea for my character is that it would be a person possessed by finger-king(s), infected by blemmigan spores, and altered in every other way imaginable. The issue is, I don't have enough competing possessions/alterations for the character to be finished. I need the character to have wildly conflicting personalities and motives, so I need more ideas. Help!

You could also add Changed by the Iron Republic, which is basically a get out of jail free card for RP, along with someone else's soul in your body (or several, if you want to RP a Pentecost Ape.) and having a Peculiar Personal Enchancement (If there's a joke in this post, it's here. That thing'd cost 100 Fate.). Don't forget to add SMEN and Unnaccountably Peckish to the mix.

Recommended readings:
Lost in Reflection, Silas the Showman for Fingerking possession.
Discernment for Uttershroom spore infection.
Pentecost Predicament for Multi-soulage.
Nothing for being Changed by the Iron Republic.
SMEN for UP.

Hope this helps.

I don't think further Nemesis progress is possible for me at present without an Iron Republic Safe-Conduct, which in my case I have not got, so I'm stuck in London for the forseeable. Hence the poor state of the boat and the need to fix it. Also, everyone else seems to have a splendid zee-craft in pristine order, which is far from my personal experience of folk who own boats.

I hope the Hospice idea is not outlandish. Since you have worked in a bit of Ambition content, I thought I would try too. Outside of Venderbight, it's frustratingly difficult to meet any tomb-colonists (at least until completing the very slow process of converting enough Reknown to meet the Mercies – nowhere near it yet). But Doubter's Hospice is somewhere they can be found occasionally, so I thought it might be an idea to go there.

If there is something you would like to do instead/as well, please add it.

I did. My scalp is still singed like a veteran hearth-rug.

I actually really like the idea of using Doubter's Hospice as a setting. We don't see it anywhere else, as far as I know and it would be cool to work with.

As for Hark and Rhea, I don't really have much I want to do at the moment. I'm up for just about anything as long as we don't end up Seeking The Name by the end of Mr Vexpont's Wild Ride.

OK, let's go to the Hospice. I have a bad habit of trying to work out where any named location is on what passes for a Fallen London map.

I'm playing through Light Fingers (slowly) on another account, because it seemed a waste to read it piecemeal for the sake of background.

I'm looking for one or two people to join an Improbable Heist into the most impenetrable recesses of the Bazaar, if anyone's interested.

Just wander arounder as oblivious as your character would be. It's what I do.

Spend as much time as you want or need to develop your character. If you want to test out and fine tune your character you can try roleplaying with other players in the Inflammatory Salon: ( http://community.failbettergames.com/topic21999-the-inflammatory-salon.aspx ). Also in general just go with whatever naturally works for that character. Most importantly of course have fun. smile
