Many things have happened to us, and I am, quite unsubtly so, saddened by my favoured candidate's descent into hands of another. Due to this, I have decided to host this meeting.

---
The rules:

If you're a free voter, post what you wish to be bribed with, how many campaign and Notability you have on your person and your current candidate, along with after how much time the bidding will stop. If you accept several currencies, specify their relationship in terms of value.

Example:
Vavakx Nonexus: Fixer, 19C + 6N, currently Contrarian, will check in 24 hours, will take First City Coins or Surprise Packages in a 2:3 ratio.

A reminder: The Voter's career level will be lowered if they switch candidates. Because of this, we have to present more info, like the current candidate and your career level and Notability as separate.
After this, the buyers may begin the bidding. When the specified time passes, the free vote will agree to vote for the candidate of the highest bidder's choosing. If the presented bids end up equal in value, the oldest bid wins. You cannot edit your comment as a bidder.

A reminder: Due to the surprising lack of morality among Londoners, the bids have to be rewarded before the voter switches their candidate, and soon after the Voter declares the Highest Bidder. If 12 Hours pass without a reaction, the voter is allowed to accept the second highest bid instead.

Example:
Bidder A: 1 set of coins of Vavakx.
Bidder B: 2 sets on Vavakx!
Bidder A: 2 sets and a box on the same!
Vavakx: Bidder A wins.

After the bidding, the vote will have to showcase his new candidate of choice in his scrapbook to the highest bidder, either through PM or through this topic. If it is done through PM, the bidder has to post a confirmation in this thread.
---

I think that this will be a wonderful way to avoid having to senselessly destroy votes, instead profiting from the inadequate supply of candidates and the burning passion (and wallets) of this election's participants.

I will start with my own free vote:

Vavakx Nonexus: Fixer, 19C + 6N, currently Contrarian, will check in 18 hours, will take First City Coins or Surprise Packages in a 2:3 ratio.

That said, *I* personally think vote buying using the very very very limited means of player-to-player transfer in the game is a hilarious concept, which is why I'm indulging in it.

Only part-time because in addition to blackmail some good old-fashioned bribery and the occasional protection-racket are required as well. Oh, and, just occasionally -- very rarely -- one needs to stand near and be seen to desperately reach for a previously-loyal acquaintance as they accidentally tumble off a bridge . . . . six or seven times.

There's ever so much more to fix than just blackmail....

I would also like to say sorrry to the other bidder Andrea Seraphni. If you would like to know why i refused your offer in the end, know it was not out of malice. As it turns out I have seveal real life social gatherings to go to which require money, and therefore I feel it prudent to take the option that does not cost me fate. I apologise if you felt jilted, and I certantly hope the symbol you sent me was not for enemies. Or at least it is not now.

My soul lightens despite the bribe. The Bishop's records had far too many devils in the details. And what a, hm, jovial fellow.

I would say it is less of an exchange rate and more of this thread exsisting in general, poor london. And obviously jenny has it anyway. Cheers!

I know Jenny has always been the "true" and "smart" politician with her maneuvering and blackmailing which most likely comes across as corrupt to some. But what's happening with the Bishop and Contrarian?

The Contrarian has a new advisor in the form of February, of the Calendar Council, and is secretly giving away his campaign funds to the other candidates. The Bishop is going to reveal a list of all the soulless peeps, and got some more info about his past romance (or non-romance. Can't be certain.) with the poet.

Well, I started this because I do not feel comfortable with any of the candidates as they are. In terms of corruption, each candidate has quite an amount of fixers on their side, and those are basically part-time blackmailers.

This pretty much sums it up for me. I''ve gone though supporting all three and with the new revelations of each I decided "screw it if I can sell my soul why not my votes too?" Heck, I WOULD have switched to Contrarian simply because I keep switching, but then Feburary took over and i went **** that.

    Interesting idea. Thanks, Vavakx.

Ysrthgrathe: Campaigner, 10C + 10N, Bishop, will check in 48 hours, will take starveling cats.

I am also ready to buy starveling cats with first city coins or alternatively bribe others by your command with these coins for starveling cats.

Yershua: Campaigner level 8 (will edit as it increases), currently Bishop, bidding closes Friday 8pm PST. Accepts only screenshots of you raising your levels of Liberation of Night (change points are not considered). Prudery results in a -2 penalty for Jenny supporters. Bidding starts at 3 levels.

    Thank you, Hark DeGaul.
Your cats are so splendiferous starveling, no sane townsman could consider declining them. Indeed they are so marvelously wonderfully satisfiable, I feel impelled to send you some coins as a token of my sincere appreciation.

Parelle, excellent poem. Sorry, only almost enough to bribe an incorruptible individual like myself, but I am humbled by your deeds on my behalf.
So I will send you a bag of coins too. It's the least I can do.

Passionario: If you meaning the technical sense, Can you even give a second chance to Jenny mechanically? And if you mean the metaphorical version of my selling my vote, technically I have not betrayed her. Yet.

Andrea: Hrrrrm... I must admit I do like the irony in taking 30 Silver Coins for betrayal. And I do like rooting for the underdog.

(OOC note: I am ligitimatly not quite sure how to judge this. Both offers are interesting and one is higher, but at the same time I don't want to exclude other offers of offend the other party. A part of me wants the interesting offer and part wants pure profit. It leads to a conundrum when judging.)

Ding ding ding, you're the winner! Post a screenshot of the before and after (e.g. Liberation of Night 5 —> LoN 8) and I will use the Fate option to switch over all my support to the Contrarian, and continue to work for him subsequently.

The Fix was in. You work from afar, and what you do for your cause is... just? You found your contacts, shadowy as they were, well hidden from your usual, more... respectable fare. And now, the final exchange was made, with those contacts from your last visit to the Tomb Colonies assisting with the final exchange.

EDIT: Just looked at my dislikes for the above post and it seems people think i am being unreasonable. I probably am and I apolgise if that is the case, I wrote this early in the morning and have no idea what a good exchange rate is for 11 campaigner. I would also like to clarify that by significant I don't necssicary mean big, but rather a interesting and/or meaningful offer. Just make me a interesting offer you think is worth 11 in your candidate.
