Joseph is currently a Campaigner for Sinning Jenny with an election career of 20 and a nobility of 9, but I'm planning on upping that point to 12 by the end of the election, if not hopefully higher. An alt of mine also is a Campaigner with 1 election career point, the only reason they're part of the election is because of those sweet sweet boots. Also, a bit off topic, but does anyone know why seemingly random posts are getting downvotes? I'm not seeing any notable issues with them, and yet they all had a -1. I upped them up to null it out, but it's still very curious. EDIT: Ah, I think I see the issue. Pro-Jenny posts are being downvoted, both mine and the above included. I noticed that with the ones I upvoted and hoped that it wasn't the case, but maybe it is? Oh well. EDIT #2: Thanks to whoever nulled that out!

Jenny isn't that popular. So far she's getting less than 50% of the vote among those who have volunteered who they are voting for. edited by Anne Auclair on 7/11/2016

There's a point. We're presumably running a first-past-the-post race - but how might it play out in other electoral systems? Well, we couldn't exactly do proportional representation, with only one mayor - we might put the Bishop's head on Jenny's shoulders, but... well, I'll just leave you with that mental image. How about preferential voting? Who would be each candidate's supporters' second choice?

My main account is a 13+7 (soon to be 14+7) campaigner for the Contrarian. I also have a Seeking alt that's campaigning for Jenny (mostly for dem boots), but out of fairness, I plan on having them sit on one vote.

In addition to contributing 30 voices towards Jenny on his own, Passionario handed about about 300 Fate's worth of campaign materials to other Fixers supporting her cause.
No one is entirely sure why he's doing that. Some dismiss it as a matter of desire ('Scarlet Saint, scarlet stockings, need I say more?'), while others suspect that he might be one of the 'friends in high places' blackmailed by Jenny.
The truth is far more absurd. Passionario was one of the specialists assigned by the Masters to help Jenny with her campaign. When she severed her ties with the Bazaar, he was fired along with the rest of them - but the urchin delivering the message became a casualty in the Chimney-Pot Wars before he could deliver it. And so the eyeless Fixer continues to toil, greasing palms and calling in favours to bring about a victory for Jenny - whether she likes it or not.

I'm noticing that despite the early discovery of the (alleged) mechanical disadvantage, the Fixer profession seems to be very popular among those on the forums :3 I'm unsurprised that Campaigner takes second for the BIS gift, but over the course of the last week I have decided that Agitator is just incredibly quick to advance, if all one wanted to do was hit 20 career in as short a span of time as possible.
I'm happy to see more people flooding in to declare for the Contrarian! Here's to hoping that over the next week, as people finalise their tallies and start pushing their Notability, we (the contrarian supporters) get a real boost in the straw polls!

I love this, like . .. very hard. I'm just tickled at the idea of the Fist of the Bazaar toiling away in service to the Masters -- helping Jenny -- all because of one dead messenger and word that never arrived.

EDIT: New level Level 20 skinny Campaigner supports Jenny with his 10 levels of Notability. EDIT: How about adding a small chart there? If not, people who wish to do so can make a new Google xlsx and use this line of code: =importRange("1AbyF8Mm0bmIg6CN_pYEV9To2qKp13tZ6adSSYYUEaHs", "sheet1!I1") It'll import the I1 (that's a capital 'i') to the cell; you'll need to replace I with K and M, add name of candidates on first column (or import those as well), add the values on the second and press Insert chart. edited by Skinnyman on 7/11/2016 edited by Skinnyman on 7/14/2016

Contrarian, Fixer 20, Notability 8 but aiming for as high as possible, realistically ~12.

From Lady Sapho L. Byron, 5 + 5 for Jenny. Yes, I know that isn't much, but I prefer an individual and personal approach to persuading the undecided.

Màiread is a true red petal and a campaigner for the magnificent Jenny, level 20 with 10 notability and rising - I'll probably get bored around 12 or 13, but who knows.
Nice work on the straw poll, by the way!

My character had thrown her, admittely somewhat halfhearted, lot in with Jenny as a level 6 Agitator + 7 Notability, mainly because the Bishop and his crusade against Hell chafes against her infernal connections and her messy past with the revolutionaries would make supporting the Contrarian rather... awkward.

Wait, Notability counts too?
I'm for Jenny because I'm a dirty commie. Currently at 13 Fixer and 9 Notability. I can probably max out my career before the end, but I'm not getting any more notability.

Hm, interesting. Personally I feel like I know too little of the Contrarian's motives, especially if he has connections to the Liberation of Night.
That said, I still like him more than the Bishop, so I suppose I should disclose that I voted for the Contrarian on my Seeking alt so I could get those boots. I plan to keep it at only 1 vote, though.
