OOC: Not sure what Eli and Passionario have planned, so I don't actually know if any of us are "allowed" to rescue Eli or not, but kudos to your character for thinking fast!

Maria, not having witnessed the fight, still saw Passionario, and counting two and two together, drew her revolver and started to follow him. Eli... he couldn't be killed. It was impossible. He WON'T be hacked apart. She would save him, if it was the last she would do. (OOC: I HATE Passionario...)

I apologize for any and all anachronisms. I am too lazy to check some facts if I am sure they are from the 1890s or sometimes think they are.

Eglantine weighs the matter up. The neddy knew what he was risking. Did he. Did he really? Yes. He'd gone up against Elias Lowe, knowing the man's ability to deliver a permanent death. And now that would indeed be his fate.
One dies, one lives. Eglantine pushes aside the guilt. Any remainder is ascribed to Passionario, who brought these men here, who left behind a body and an Ezekiel damaged enough to need it. If one is going to be a figure of deadly authority, one cannot afford such oversights.
"Right. Let's get that, and Ezekiel, to a suitable room." They get moving. No time to waste.

A long time later, Ezekiel asks to be left alone and the three of them stand outside the room. Sounds of a scuffle and retching is heard from within. When the door opens, The Tattooed Neddy emerges carrying a black sack with wriggling contents. His right eye is a gaping crater directly into his skull. He slides an eyepatch over the hole.
"Must get Ellie back. There can be no life for Me otherwise."

"Then that's what we'll do." Eglantine is careful not to look at the sack, or the missing eye.
By the time Ezekiel has put himself together, a distressed but determined Siobhan has joined them and been filled in on the details. She nods firmly. "Wherever he is, we'll find him. We have to."

"Oh, you will be perfect," Eglantine notes. "You've been such a loud voice against Ezekiel and Eli that no-one will suspect you of trying to help." They pause. "Come to that, why are you trying to help?"

"Talk later. For now, we hunt."
(( We should probably move this to another thread, if someone wanted to kick one off ))

"Yes, we do." Eglantine looks around. "Call in favours, get whatever you need, and meet back outside here? We're going to want to go into this with everything we can."
((On it.))

[[ Now that the storyline event has moved on to another thread, I'd like to offer a few comments on Passionario's fighting style and the mechanics behind it. Given that he's both Dreaded and Savage, I see him as someone whose primary goal in any fight is to break the opponent's spirit; therefore, he prefers to go for painful, humiliating or disabling attacks over efficient killing blows. Furthermore, while his Dangerous is fairly high, he's no Shattering Force: in narrative terms, while he has plenty of experience with violence, he is not a professional fighter or soldier, and while he is physically large and strong, his lack of eyes isn't helping matters. To compensate for this (and also because he's a cowardly bully at heart), he stacks the deck as much in his favour as possible through ambushes, weapons and overwhelming numbers. Take those away, and things may turn out differently.]]

[This is most definitely not an insult, but I have lingering thoughts of your character being sort of impotent and unfit after the repeated Millicent boinking.]

(( Eli is a tactician, if he knows Passionario is coming and keeps a level playing field, he would be a worthy adversary. ))
