For when the inflammatory salon becomes too inflammatory. A spacious room with book shelves, fossils, lepidopterology specimens, and a profusion of little tiger figurines. The books range anywhere from Thoreau, to Darwin, to Andrew Lang. (Actually, there might be quite a bit more Andrew Lang than anything else.) There's a window overlooking a garden, and anyone who goes rifling through the drawers is bound to find a tin of flavored cigars. A phonograph in the corner can be induced to play a recording of Mrs. Plenty's wolf choir.

Isaree pushes open the door to the study and, with a soft rustle of skirts, makes her way to the towering bookshelves ahead. As she searches for something engaging to read, she gives a short laugh at the hesitant comment before her. "If there is to be a glim fall, I'd ready the nets! I definitely wouldn't mind taking a part of that..."

Flesh-Stick: I was never sad all the time like this back home. But then, I'm not really the same guy I was back home. I dunno if that's good or bad...

Also, Sinning Jenny pinned a rosette to my bare chest. Anybody got a bandaid?

The Dean knocks before entering, a bottle of mead in one hand and a rather full messenger bag slung over his shoulder.

/* Edit: if this is a private rp just lemme know and I'll take my leave! */

"I do hope I'm not intruding! I was told this was the place for quiet study and discussion."

The Dean: strolls over to the window and nods appriatively at the garden outside before pulling a chair up to a desk.

He gingerly places the messenger bag down and opens the mead with a loud 'pop'.

"Anybody care for a drink?"

V. glanced up upon hearing someone address her, "I dabble a bit, but I wouldn't exactly call myself an artist." She shuffled a few sketches together, "It's only a matter of practice. Although I still can't get these blasted proportions right...
Well, enough about me. Are you interested in the arts? I'm under the assumption most who come here prefer to read rather than look at pictures."

Isaree gives a slight nod at the change in conversation, silently excusing herself from it. Glancing around the room, she notices a woman surrounded by books, charcoal in hand. She pulls up a chair near the desk and smiles. "An artist, are you? Those poses look complicated..."

V. opened the door and soundlessly let herself in. She looked a bit surprised on how crowded the room already was, but quickly maneuvered herself around the chairs to browse a few books documenting the artwork of great masters. After making her selection, she carried a few volumes to a three legged desk, took out a few scraps of paper and a stub of charcoal, and started copying down figures and poses.

Eglantine comes wandering in, looking tired, and settles into a comfortable chair, to get some peaceful reading done since there's nobody as yet to talk to.
