Allrigth fair enogh, though that rationale sounds a bit more closer to Neutral Good than Lawful Neutral but that is just me nitpicking.

I'm a stat maxed character who refuses to complete the Cheesemonger storyline because of the bit where you have to kill the Ambassador's valet if he won't come quietly. Since I have no reason to know why I should, the storylet just sits there. My character doesn't have a problem killing people, but she wants a good reason first.

It is probably good to let it sits there, because some people like to refuse getting involved in the Great Game but the cards just won't stop showing up unless you obsessively purge yourself of Great Game connection.

Hm. I just replayed it and enacted her plan. But if I'd remembered that one of the options was to betray her to revolutionaries, I would have done that instead.

The reason for doing it is that you've been asked to do it. That's all there is.
If you have to have reasons for your actions beyond some shadowy person in a dark office commanding it for who knows what purpose, then the Great Game is probably not for you.
Now, reasons are provided later in the Cheesemonger's story, but at that point you're no longer really playing the Game...

I can't remember what choice I made. I searched yesterday through my character info and couldn't find any mention of the Cheesemonger. How can I recall what I did?
