Dear sirs
with the factions who have changed to the new favours/renown system I have a question.
What way are there to gain renown? I mostly still have what I got from conversions of connected qualities. I can see you get favours mostly from opportunity cards but haven't found much for renown

I'd say by converting favours . . .
You can buy 'faction items' from the Bazaar; example, you can save Rubbery Men favours until the undiscardable card pops along, then buy a 'nodule of pulsating amber', go to your inventory and convert the favours to renown (and ditch the undiscardable card in the process, as you'll have no favours to meet the requirement).

Yeah, faction items are the only way to get renown outside getting it up to 5 at the carnival. Hopefully when the conversions are complete they'll add renown gain to various major stories.

Tbh it's probably better if renown is not granted through stories. That way you can save renown increases for when you need a quirk adjusted.

Renown only being through faction items though makes it much more mechanical and much less story-based, which was much of the original reason provided for the change.
