I'm trying to make name for Dangerous, and I'm trying kill the sorrow spiders. It says you can't get out of the crypt until you or it dies. So what happens if I fail?

You get some wounds, until you hit Wounds 8.
Then you die.
Don't worry, though - there's a storylet which will progress you a bit before you die, and death in the Neath isn't what you'd call "permanent".

Thanks! I just bought a ton of F. F. Gebrant's Tincture of Vigor and realized I can't use them in the silken chapel :/
