smile Hello, I am here for my alt Deadline, he is quite a newcomer in London and still lacks basic stats to send the invitation of St.Destin, but he has all the 7 confessions, and I think he meets the requirements of accepting the candle with SMEN 3.
Is there anyone who meets the sending requirement but lacks some confessions here? Can you send a candle to my alt? Deadline can trade any confession you need. I am desperate to send a Deadline to the North (after I have dealt with the real deadlines. I'm not actively playing these days so it might be many many days later). Though weak and insignificant, a deadline is not to be postponed indefinitely.

EDIT: Didn't know the cost unbalance between the sender and the receiver. If you need any confession, still trade with me; you don't need to send my alt 1 candle. Save it to your friend or another active seeker. I'll wait until the next Hollowmas, but I won't let these confessions be wasted.

Well, that's what I get for not checking SMEN things on the wiki... I had no idea you needed Watchful 200 on Winking Isle! That's rather a lot of chess I need to play now...

It can be a modified Watchful though. And since you have to get rid of some pricey items, all the money goes well towards some expensive watchful items from the bazaar

Thanks, I know all that. It's still chess for the last 14 levels^^

Is there a cap on the SMEN that can be gained on the Winking Isle? I'm at 45, and need 49 for Forthigan's. Going back there might be the easiest way to snag that.

The option that boosts it 7 at a time is capped at 70. The option that boosts it 1 at a time is uncapped.

There is no cap, and going back is the only way at your level.

In response to everyone asking for Destin's; I shall be fasting and meditating over the question until Sunday afternoon. At that point I'll pick...someone from this thread.

Can't say fairer than that, can I?

At SMEN 49, is Knave of Regrets the only card that will increase it? Knight of Feasts does not.

After FINALLY drawing the bloody card I can confirm that choosing "No Restitution" on Knave of Regrets will increase SMEN up to 47

I commented on the wiki page for No Restitution recently, after it failed to raise my Seeking past 32. I'll try again, maybe I mis-clicked or maybe it was buggy. I am hoping for a very slow non-isle way to grind a few candles on my main, basically.

I think the messages reporting that something will not increase something past a cap have been buggy recently, as I've been seeing a lot of actions report Quirk caps "higher than 14" that I know are not capable of raising quirks that high.

Of course, SMEN has an honorable history of being buggy. :-)

Hey, I've been away from SMEN for a while. Has anyone figured out how to select the "Who is Salt?" question.

Well, the alt I created specifically to send NORTH is finally prepared to make the journey. The aptly named Minimum Viable Seeker was created in mid June and was just beheaded today. So that's about 4 and a half months or 20 weeks end to literal end (it could have been faster if it didn't have to wait for an event to get the Torment destiny). There seems to have been an influx of people completing the journey lately. The Well has gained a number of new names since Hallowmas started.

Of course, my fun alt, which I'd originally planed to spare, has already gone NORTH so I'm going to let this guy hang around to see if the option to get the name tattooed is still there. In the mean time I may see if it can manage to build a Zubmarine in case there's a way to make the Torment destiny come true. In retrospect, this would have been a lot easier if it hadn't just cut its stats in half.

It got fixed and now properly caps after 24.

Question - is anyone asking for Destin's willing to give me, say, twenty games of chess a day for the next month? I have a deadline to meet - all seven candles by the next Feast of the Rose - and that means grinding up something like seventy levels worth of Watchful before then, a task to which I look forward not at all.

(I have already done this grind before. It was....painful.)

^^ this.generally. Have been seeing this on a lot of unrelated stuff the last days. Has this been fixed generally
as of now?

Edit: Erm, yes. Sort of forgot what I wanted to chime in here, sorts of. Just wanted to throw a non-existant hat into the ring, really. If someone got totally NO candle to give, I would be *unlighted* to receive NONE. Of, like, totally, NO sorts. Noever.

Just totally NOT begging for NOTHING, I am.

Indeed. Heck. it took me 4 1/2 months to get my Seeking alt to SMEN 18! But she's Scarred, Stained, and Chained, and raring with zeal for the next phase of the proceedings.
