The last several opportunity cards I've tried to play have displayed text and "Onwards" only, with no options then discarded themselves. Is anybody else experiencing this?
It looks as though many appear to be acting normally, but Demi-Monde: The Bohemians as well as several ones I can't recall ever seeing before have been complete wastes. edited by Wiwo on 6/1/2016

WARNING:
Currently, nearly ALL cards with no unlock requirements are bugged. This include Faction Cards, A Presumptuous Opportunity and any early game cards unlocked by default (even if they are locked off later on, say A Name 0-2).
These cards are being turned to autofire card - with their original text. Which is to say, if you click on them, you will see the regular text of the card presented in an empty result screen. You will lose an action along with the card.
Rule of thumb: If the card has no unlock requirement, don't click on them. You will lose both card and action automatically.
AVOID FLASH LAY, CAVE OF NADIR AND SIMILAR CARD-BASED AREAS FOR THE MEANTIME.
Any cards that display some sort of unlock requirements should be fine. Storylets are safe.
(I know we are not normally allowed colours, but more people need to see this)

This should all now be fixed. Please do drop an email to our support address if you notice anything odd, though.

Hi all. We're currently investigating what caused this. Everything should be back to normal now, thanks to the late-night interventions of Olivia and Adam. And thank you all for sending in your bug reports, which have been extremely useful in identifying which storylets were affected.

I lost a presumptuous little opportunity because of this; when the RNG isn't cruel enough, bugs take over its job!

It looks like at least two things have gone awry: a number of storylets lost their branches, and a number of them lost their quality effects and requirements. I'm fairly confident I've dealt with the missing branches; unfortunately, requirements and effects are going to be more complicated, and it's midnight here in London. We'll take a look at this in the morning – please bear with us till then.

We've locked a number of opportunity cards that have begun acting oddly. We'll be looking into this tomorrow - do please submit bug reports to support@failbettergames.com if you've experienced this: it'll help us track down what's happening and which cards are affected. Thanks! edited by babelfishwars on 6/1/2016

I have to say, despite it being annoying/strange, it is nice to see the cards I haven't seen in a long time, and sometimes don't even remember. (But I hope it gets fixed soon) edited by suinicide on 6/1/2016

This is the sort of error that makes me curious about how the back end of the system works.
Was this the result of trying to change the system, or did somebody make a mistake of changing a flag that shouldn't have been touched...
Surely this should have happened on DEV, not on LIVE.

I also just got "A Broken Mind", "Stop! Thieves!", "Retrieve a courier's correspondence" & "The Poet of the Streets" as working opp cards, no autofire.

I've just drawn the "Unsigned message" card and won the gift, but I wasn't redirected to "Open a Surprise Package" I had to find it in my inventory instead. I think this is normal behaviour but my memory doesn't serve at the moment. It's indeed normal. This card gives you a new Surprise Package. It doesn't open it automatically for you.

Oh, of COURSE the Firebrand's card never showed up. It unlocks with C: Revolutionaries 5.

Actually came on just to report this too but glad to see others are quicker and this thread has been made. Does anyone know if a dev or mod has been alerted to this glitch? Edit: It seems I can't accept invites either. Might be something to note. edited by Amelia Syrus on 6/1/2016

I'd be very surprised if it wasn't already reported, but sending in more bug reports with additional details can't hurt.

It is a rather strange blast from the past, with all the cards I haven't seen since I was new to Fallen London. I do hope they fix whatever caused this oddity fast though.

I've had no issues with actions being eaten by autofire cards, but I have gotten a lot of cards I'm overqualified for. Got a cheap Criminal Favor from "An opportunity for profit", heh.

I got "A Conversation In The Rain" despite having 5 Uncovering the Secrets of the Face Tailor. I clicked the first option and got a few more cp of Secrets of the Face Tailor.
Is messing with this sort of thing rude and/or a ToS violation? I think it's pretty cool, but I don't want to break anything...
