[Ambition: Nemesis] Venderbight: what to bring? Messages in this topic - RSS

Eve is at Nemesis: 11 and about to take a lovely vacation in the Tomb Colonies! Seeing as the cost of the voyage is rather pricey, though, I'd rather not have to run back and forth between London. Is there anything in particular that I should bring/stock up on before I set out?

Just get your Watchful and Dangerous to at least 100 and make sure none of your menaces are high (especially not Nightmares). A quick check on the wiki identifies one stage that requires 20 x Memories of Distant Shores, but I'm sure there's a way to get them at Venderbight.

I have just taken a break about half way through that section. It is just a couple of actions to get there and back, so I'm not sure what you mean by the cost being pricey? Coming back before the end is apparently not unexpected, since the text explicitly refers to "stocking up at the Bazaar".
I definitely second the low menaces advice; I carelessly went out with nightmares over 3. But the other menaces build steadily as well even on success. Honey and possibly wine (and not the cheap plonk) are also good to have along.
And cards are a better option on the whole than the storylet, so don't go with an empty deck.

If you'd like to get the full experience, ensure you have Dreaming Strange Dreams: A Game Of Chess at level 3 or higher.
