I hope they'll tell us which faction will be converted next so we can have a head start for once :P
But yeah that makes 2.625 CPPA and as such without action refreshing there's no way I'm getting anywhere far enough in the next five days. Anyone know how many CP the fate option on the connected item gives? I'm wondering which would be more fate-efficient.

This is the first faction without a Connected pet to make a changeover. I wonder if they will add one, to make Favor grinding a bit more efficient.

I always assumed that one of the two Amber trading cards was their faction card.

That's a good point. The Rubbery men have no faction card, no conected pet, and the ony way to reliablly get connections is fate locked. With no way to really get any favors an no way to SPEND them either, somethings got to change with favors in this regard.

Maybe they'll revise the annoying back-and-forth Warm Amber cards into a single faction card. It might be interesting if the Rubbery Hound gets a Favour option, though symmetry suggests that everyone should have access to a non-Fate connected pet.

I'm hoping for a rubbery companion to hang out with my rubbery spouse and more sources and uses for different kinds of amber. Wonderful, quivering, warm and lovely amber.

I mean, I'm kind of expecting only non-fate locked sources of Favour to be the carnival and giving them amber. And the latter shouldn't be too bad- warm amber's not exactly difficult to come by, and having to wait for the card makes isn't really any worse than the Docks at the moment.
As for uses- the uses we currently have for them are pretty obvious to change, and we know we're getting new stuff for Renown, and therefore a reason to hoard favours to increase that.

This will be the first time that we have a Conflict Card with Favors on both sides. Rubbery vs Tomb Colonists. A Misfortune at the Carnival. I wonder how that will be balanced, once the change takes place. edited by th8827 on 4/28/2016

I wonder also if the Constables will be the next faction to be reworked, since after this change they will have two conflict cards with factions on the Favours/Renown system.

I'd assume that any faction that has a connected challenge somewhere will be saved for later- so Urchins, Bohemians, Constables, Church, Great Game, Revolutionaries and Society are likely to be later.
Meanwhile, the Duchess and the Widow present the difficultly of having no obvious options for sources of favours- all the current sources of connections are too easily farmable.
So that leaves Hell as the obvious next candidate! I mean, of course they'll have to figure out how to handle the connected challenges eventually, but given that they have no incentive to rush things... Yeah, I'm gonna say Hell is most likely to be next.

Hell being the next logical candidate does create one issue. Crimson Saint. Perhaps it will require 50 Renown from Hell and Church, once they are converted.
Personally, I'm looking forward to Hell. They are my favorite faction. edited by th8827 on 4/29/2016

Given that Rubbery Men also have no faction card or connected pet, and the scarcity of options using Widow and Dutchess connections, I'd expect those to be fairly simple to convert given the lower interaction with other factions. After all, that was the reason given for starting with the Criminals and other less-used factions.
Scarlet Saint can't require Renown 50 after the conversion because iirc it's literally impossible to get through grinding Favours. The final option on the faction items to convert Favours to Renown has a scaling stat requirement much like SotC, increasing by six levels per level of Renown increase. As such for some factions, criminals definitely, it's not currently possible to raise the relevant stat high enough to grind to Renown 50.

I just drew the Secrets and Spending card, and "Find an Unusual Home for your Mark of Credit page" now lists "Closest to: Rubbery-Men" as one of the unlocks. I would take that as further confirmation that a Rubbery-Men faction card is coming.
